Guestbook comments from the owner

My wife and I spent this weekend at the cabin. We have upgraded some of the decor, bought a brand new microwave and we have hired a new cleaning service!

The last couple of months we been disappointed that we have had a few issues with the cleaning service we had been using.

I am excited to say that we have a new service starting (Dec. 14, 2014) and they are beginning with a two day deep cleaning of the cabin.

Although the issues have been minor, I believe this will take care it and bring our cleanliness back up to the high standard we expect.

We look forward to you staying with us!

Perfect size for a couple ! It has everything you need

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Mike's cabin for our honeymoon and we loved it. The cabin is the perfect size for a couple and we really enjoyed our time there. The location is great, perfectly secluded although it shares a driveway with 2 other cabins the cabin and area are very private. It's close to downtown Gatlinburg and a short drive from pigeon forge if you desire to go there. Communication with Mike was great. We had some problems with the hot water and Mike had someone come out the next day to fix it. We would totally recommend this cabin to any couple for a getaway.

Wonderful stay and definitely would recommend to others

  • 5 of 5

We loved the cabin! Everything was very clean, hot tub on the deck was awesome, and the location is great. The bears were a cute touch that represent the charm of the area. The cozy cottage is romantic and a wonderful place to relax and unwind. We would recommend the cottage to anyone visiting the area. Thanks to Mike for answering all of our questions in a friendly and timely manner.

Good rating that could easily be Excellent

  • 4 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this cabin for our 26th wedding anniversary. It is so cute! The location is great. However, Mike, I don't think your property maintenance/cleaning service is doing you any favors. For example, the timer for the fireplace is supposed to turn on the fireplace but it doesn't (we had to reach in behind the panel below the fireplace to turn it on and off); the gas grill on the deck is natural gas-fired which is cool, but the electronic ignitor is broken (we found some matches but it was fairly difficult to light the grill using them - a long lighter would have been nice); we were provided with only two partial rolls of toilet paper (we found ourselves rationing toilet paper); the only place to hang clothing is a couple of pegs on the wall by the front door (and unfortunately those can't be used as they're mounted above a chest of drawers); there was no binder with any information about the cabin, i.e. how to operate the TV, DVD player (we later found out that it wasn't properly hooked up), fireplace, etc. (I will say that while we had to call Mike several times during our visit, he answered his phone right away and helped us with our issues). Bottom line, this cabin was one of our favorites (we've stayed in many in Gatlinburg) and we would definitely come back if we were assured that these details have been rectified.

Perfect Getaway!

  • 5 of 5

My brother and I rented this cabin for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. They absolutely loved their stay and said it was a beautiful cabin. I am hoping to book my husband and I are trip here soon. Excellent rental and won't cost you so much you can't go and explore, shop, and eat around town. Highly recommend!

Quaint Cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was decently secluded and perfect for a couple vacation. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day hiking in the Smokies. It was great being close to downtown Gatlinburg and a grocery store down the street to get items for the kitchen. The wi fi worked great but we couldn't get the fireplace to turn on. We were thankful for the all the clean blankets, sheets and towels. Don't forget some extra toilet paper in case you may need more than provided!

Location was easy to find, pretty setting and felt private.

The cabin is lovely and quaint. Clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the deck and hot tub. Overall we loved the cabin and would have liked to stay longer.

Only suggestion is that it be better stocked with some basics. There was 1 roll of toliet paper that was half gone. No coffee filters for the machine. I expect to by groceries but not the basic stuff.

Location

From the Owner

Gatlinburg has long been a favorite vacationing place for us! I have been coming to Gatlinburg since I was a child, we honeymooned here, and came here often when we were raising our kids. Several years ago, we had the opportunity to purchase this beautiful log cabin and our hope is that it will be a blessing to couples and families as they seek to renew their relationships, and enjoy some time away from the busyness of everyday life!

From the Owner
