Located in Costa Rica's southern pacific zone, this newly built home has everything you could want when visiting Costa Rica's Osa (south pacific region).
Great location with easy access (no 4x4 needed). Only one mile from the Costanera Highway (Highway 34) with a simple drive through the quaint town of San Buenaventura.
Close to all the amenities.
When most people think of Costa Rica, they think of wildlife, beaches, and the Pura Vida state of mind. This property offers all of it on-site or within 15 minutes.
Private park on property.
There is a 10 acre park available only to owners and guests on site. Additionally, we can offer a private walking tour to a little known waterfall that is nearby.
High-speed internet is also available. (Although you may not want to tell your boss)
As a cattle rancher living in Minnesota, I do not have the opportunity to relax and travel often. I, initially, built this house to have a place to escape my busy lifestyle and enjoy the peace and tranquility that come with the beautiful countryside of Costa Rica. Someday, this home will serve as my permanent place of residence, but until then, I plan to use it to get away and enjoy the Costa Rican sun with my family and friends.
Nicholas Halverson purchased this house in 2012
San Buenaventura is a great place to stay because it is easily accessible and has all of the luxuries of a large city, like a nearby modern hospital, stores, and restaurants famous for serving tasty Costa Rican cuisine, all the while keeping that small village in the middle of the rainforest type feel.
When designing this house, I was really interested in keeping it open and spacious. I put in many windows and even a sliding glass door so that the fresh breeze, breathless sunset, and exclusive wildlife would all be apart of the stay. I also installed a private pool, and made sure that it was located in a gated community with security on-site to ensure that the house was safe and protected at all times.
The sounds and sights of Costa Rica are simply astonishing.
Green parrots can be seen on a daily basis, as well as the sounds of howler monkeys' grunts and the distinctive song sang by the native toucans.
Whether it be a walk through the jungle, a visit to the nearby waterfalls, the amazing beaches, or getting to spend a day with the locals, no two days are alike in Costa Rica. This place will surely take your breath away and make you never want to leave.
The house is easy to get to and the caretakers are always available to help you out. The house is in a small community with down to earth, friendly neighbors. It is close to all kinds of activities such as zip lines, horseback riding, birdwatching, and of course the beaches and national parks. The food at the little restaurant next to the fish market is delicious! Thanks Nick! We had a great time!
