Loved staying here
We really enjoyed staying here and plan on coming back very soon. Such nice people who go above and beyond to make your stay so nice.
Loved this cozy romantic cabin. Want to visit again in the spring. It’s the perfect get a way!
The owners directions and cabin information were emailed right away and very thorough. The cabin was clean and well maintained. Every detail to make us comfortable and informed was in place. We even found it the first visit in the dark! And it’s dog friendly. We left ours at home but nice to know they would be welcome.
The nearby town of Burnsville was a nice surprise. There were several places to shop and dine. Not far from the cabin are stables where we went on a beautiful trail ride.
Best retreat ever!
Lovely historic cabin tucked up on the mountains. Beautiful fall colors. Over the top helpful owner. Loved everything about it.
A pleasant stay
The cabin was exactly as advertised. We arrived in a driving rain so I found the winding mountain road and the one track, two way road somewhat challenging. Otherwise everything was great. It was chilly throughout our stay and I enjoyed having a fire in the early mornings and evenings--plenty of kindling and firewood. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch after walks from the cabin. The kitchen was well equipped and the bed was quite comfortable. I liked the idea that the cabin was 125 years old and some of the original features, such as the local stones framing the fireplace and the ceiling beams in the spacious living room were apparent.
A GREAT Long Weekend
The peacefulness and privacy of this rental cannot be overstated. I’ve rented fancier places, but this cabin checked ALL the boxes that are really important to me for a mountain rental!
Quiet oasis
We spent a week in the cabin with our dog. It was so quiet and relaxing that we did not drive anywhere after we arrived. Days were spent hiking locally and reading on the deck, and nights were for gazing at the stars. Everything was provided that we needed. It was a perfect vacation.
