This beautiful home can sleep up to 6 persons with use of Guest Cottage.

Located in the hills above of Santa Barbara between the city and the sea, this authentic adobe was built in the mid 1950's by master Adobero, Senor Aguilar. With panoramic views of the city and mountains and a peek of harbor, this welcoming home will provide you with the quintessential Santa Barbara vacation! You enter the property through old Mesquite Gates and descend to the private courtyard, complete with fountain, citrus trees and barbecue. This is a perfect spot for morning coffee, afternoon naps or a casual dinner. The main house has two bedrooms, each with a private bath. The master has a king bed, and the second bedroom has a queen. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with a Viking range and professional appliances for any discriminating cook. On the view side of the property you will find a terrace and 'sit in' stone fire pit with stunning vistas of the city and mountains. The property also has a guest cottage that can accommodate two more persons. It contains an extra long twin trundle, full bath, and secluded terrace with mountain and city views. (PLEASE NOTE THAT THE USE OF THE GUEST COTTAGE IS ONLY AVAILABLE WITH STAYS OF 30 DAYS OR LONGER, EXTRA CHARGES APPLY. ALSO, IT IS NEVER RENTED TO A SEPARATE PARTY FROM THE MAIN HOME. ) The home is less than a 7 min drive to the beach or downtown and has three flat screen TV's with satellite HD TV service, internet access, central heat and off street parking. Outstanding property

We so enjoyed this stunning home and beautiful grounds that we did not even want to leave to go sight seeing! We had breakfast on the deck every morning, dinner in the courtyard with the fountain and finished off the wine around the fire pit. This home may be my all time favorite of the many VRBO homes we've rented!!

Beautiful refuge in the hills of Santa Barbara

This house is in the hills within the city of Santa Barbara, but it feels like a retreat, with fantastic views of the town and the mountains. Mark is a very responsive host and one feels immediately at home. Very clean and well-maintained. Also great for cooks - the kitchen is fantastic. Although it's up in the hills, it's only a short drive (or bike ride, if you don't mind steep hills) to downtown Santa Barbara.

Relaxing and peaceful; beautiful home with thoughtful attention to detail.

Mark’s Hilltop Adobe is really something special. The home and property are beautiful and meticulously maintained. It includes soft comfy bedding, a fully stocked kitchen, multi-room sound system and many other high-end touches. We enjoyed evenings on the back patio taking in the view of Santa Barbara and the mountains beyond. The front courtyard, with its garden and fountain, was peaceful and the perfect spot for our morning coffee. The location felt like a secluded retreat and was just what we needed for a relaxing vacation. Mark and Jane went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even providing a lovely gift basket upon our arrival. We loved staying here, and hope to return.

Perfect in so many ways

Mark's hilltop Adobe was the most ideal choice for our stay in beautiful Santa Barbara. It was nothing short of perfect in terms of location, setting, views, gorgeous decor and comforts that were more than we could have expected. Mark was a fabulous host, meeting us on arrival and providing us with a tour of the home and giving us welcomed tips about the area and 'spots' to visit. Our only disappointment is we could not stay longer. If you are planning on staying in Santa Barbara this is the place to stay. We loved it.
