Great location away from tourists but still close to do it all

  • 5 of 5

Right away Patrick was able to answer any questions I had before and during our trip. Very polite and friendly. We stayed for a short summer weekend to fish and relax so it was perfect for our three people family. The cabin is fairly close to the grocer and a beverage store (there is a store that only sells beverages-possibly alcoholic- didn't check it out). The cabin had it all and some. there was a stocked fire place with clear instructions on how to use it, a grill outside, bikes for grade school youth and adults, a canoe, there are helmets available as well and all the pots, pans, bowls, bakeware, utensils you need in a home. Even the grill things were available oh the knifes great set as well. The place was clean and the shower was amazing especially after fishing.

One of our nights there it got real cold for us we're from the Vegas area so cold is not something we get to much so we used the fireplace instead of using the heater-something different-. It was great the cabin smelled like wood and we got to watch some Netflix and relax. There's a bike path directly behind the cabin so biking isn't that far.

Tahoe Paradise

  • 4 of 5

Our visit to this property, and our overall stay was excellent. The listing correctly describe this property and it's location. It was well maintained and clean, with instructions listed throughout the cabin to all of the different amenities provided. The only problems we had were with the bears getting into the trash cans, and Patrick, the owner, was quick to use the shed. Yes, even though they were bear proof, we still had to lock them in the shed because they'd figured out how to open them, silly bears! Unfortunately, the neighbor had decided to add a second floor to their home during our vacation stay, and construction was disruptive at times. I would highly recommend this property to friends & family! My family will be staying here again in the near future...D

Great Location - Close to Camp Rich and The Keys

  • 4 of 5

I reserved this cabin in October 2014 to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday, which happens to be on the 4th of July. Three of us ladies shared the cabin this past weekend. We knew traffic would be pretty bad so we brought our bikes. This cabin is right along side the entrance into The Keys and is about 2 minutes from the bike trail that takes you to Camp Rich, Pope Beach, Baldwin Beach and The Beacon. We rode everywhere. I slept in the master and the bed was pretty comfortable. It was unusually hot our first night, a ceiling fan would sure help just to move the air. One of the ladies chose to sleep on her air mattress while the other took the second bedroom. We couldn't find any dish towels, so ended up using a lot of paper towels. We also has to buy another roll of toilet paper, as there was a small roll left when we arrived and only one extra. Having two extra rolls would have been perfect. The patio was nice and roomy and there's a BBQ (I didn't realize there would be one). For the price and location, this place is really ideal. The room with bunk beds is perfect for families with kids, but not really for two singles who don't want to share the Queen. It would also be nice to check in a little earlier than 4pm just so we could settle in and go back out for some more exploring. Oh, and if you want some great dessert, check out Cakes by the Lake, they are right around the corner from the cabin on Hwy 89.

Amenities

From the Owner

My mother bought this cabin with the proceeds from the sale of the family ranch where she grew up. She chose this area because she loved the great outdoors and because her sister lives close by.
