The closest entrance to the National Park is also just 9.9 miles.

***The Space***

Come enjoy The Gathering Place, the perfect combination of privacy and convenience.

BEDROOMS
Large groups will have plenty of sleeping spaces with the cabin’s 4 bedrooms. Bedroom 1 is located on the main floor. Bedrooms 2 and 3 are on the lower level, and Bedroom 4 is the private loft space above the living area. All bedrooms boast cozy King beds. And, if you need extra sleeping space, there is a sleeper sofa in the main floor living area as well as one in the living area downstairs. All bedrooms feature their own smart or Roku TVs so you can login to your accounts and enjoy unwinding in your own space!

BATHROOMS
The cabin has 3 full baths, one on each level. Each bathroom is equipped with a shower, sink, and toilet as well as the linens you will need to freshen up after a long hike or get ready for a night out enjoying the area attractions.

KITCHEN
Cooking on vacation has never been more enjoyable as this cabin’s kitchen boasts stainless-steel appliances as well as granite countertops. The kitchen is fully equipped with pots and pans, cookie sheets, a Keurig Duo coffee maker (uses Kcups or ground coffee - your choice!), blender, toaster, griddle, and plenty of silverware, plates, and cups for your entire group. Although, with how close you are to so many restaurants, you may choose to simply enjoy dining in Pigeon Forge each evening.

LIVING SPACES
The main living area is perfect for relaxing with your group! A large open room with vaulted ceilings provides the perfect location to enjoy time with family or friends. With a large, rustic dining table, multiple comfy sofas, and a smart TV with Xfinity cable, you will have all the space you need to spread out, enjoy your favorite movie, watch the big game, or play some games (provided) around the table.

If you want even more space, or need a designated space for children and teens, the downstairs living area boasts an arcade where you can test your skills on a large variety of vintage games, a seated racing game, as well as multiple couches (including a sleeper sofa) and a smart TV with Xfinity cable to ensure your group has plenty of choices for enjoying your time in the mountains.

OUTDOOR SPACE
A mountain vacation is perfect for enjoying the great outdoors! With this cabin, you can relax in the private hot tub or enjoy the forested views from your rocker on the back porch. While there are other rental cabins on the mountain, there are no cabins directly beside this cabin. This is a secluded location so there is a good chance you will see some of the wildlife that inhabits these mountains such as raccoons, squirrels, chipmunks, and maybe even a black bear. As always, please respect the wildlife of the mountains by not feeding or going near any wildlife. Also, please do not throw trash over the porch and ensure all outside trash is placed in the bear cans available. We want to respect and enjoy this amazing, relaxing habitat of our forest friends!

Please note, the fireplace is for decoration only and is not for use. No parties or events, please. We want to ensure all our guests have a fantastic stay, so please do not hesitate to reach out with any inquiries.

GUEST ACCESS:
You will have the entire cabin to yourself.

THINGS TO KNOW
• Onsite parking for 4 cars (Half-circle driveway for easy access)
• No washer or dryer (Although who wants to do laundry on vacation anyway!)
• While the kitchen is fully stocked with appliances, silverware, plates, cups, etc., you will want to bring your favorite coffee, filters, and cooking supplies.
• Guests are provided with a starter set of amenities including: 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 hand soap bar per bathroom, a small container of dish soap, a couple dishwasher packets, and 1 roll of paper towels. If you are planning a long stay or have specific preferences on brands, you may want to bring some essentials – or visit the Dollar General less than a mile away!
• No pets, please.
• This is a non-smoking/vaping cabin.

GETTING THERE
After turning off the main road, you will cross a one lane concrete bridge over a small creek to get to the mountain. From there, you will head up the mountain for approximately half a mile (all paved roads) to arrive at the cabin. As with most mountain cabins, there are a couple of turns and hills to enjoy a mountain location. However, as this cabin is so near the main street, the drive up the mountain is only 0.5 miles and very manageable. After a few times, you will feel like a mountain pro! Please note that if there is accumulation of snow or ice (such as during a winter storm), the road to this cabin may be impassable, as will many roads in the area.

Close to town
This was our 5th trip to the area, so we have some comparisons as far as cabins. Having said that I always try to give a fair and informative review. This cabin was not what we expected from the reviews or the description of the cabin. I’ll start with the kitchen. Over all it is much smaller than the pics lead you to think. The countertops, sink and stove were in great shape. The cabinets are VERY dated and there is little area to store things you bring as far as snacks and cooking necessities. The fridge is small but adequate, but no ice maker. However, it was very well stocked and had everything you need to cook with, even a griddle. The 3 bedrooms are small the 4th is in the loft which is not completely closed in, but it worked well enough for one of our couples and their 1yr old. It is a large area with a bathroom. The bathrooms are small but they were clean, well stocked and served the purpose. The beds were all comfortable, one might be a little older as it seemed to sink in the middle somewhat, but the 4 and 7 yr olds slept there so not a big deal for them, but adults might not find it the best. One big plus is there’s plenty of seating in both of the living areas. Lastly, there’s no washer and dryer and only 18 towels and wash clothes so you must pack enough to last or go to a laundry mat. I choose to take enough to last the trip, but will not make the mistake of not having a w/d again. Overall the cabin has potential, but could use a remodel that includes a w/d.

Nice Cabin for Young Family
We arrived a little early and the cleaning crew was still there. We left for dinner and came back later and the cleaning crew did not impress us. We did not have extra towels, toilet paper, or hand soap. My wife had to clean the toilets and surfaces before we got settled in. Each dish had to be hand washed before use. This wasn’t the fault of the owners and could be attributed to the high turn over after the holiday weekend. We were slightly disappointed when we realized how steep the stairs were in the cabin as we had some elderly family members with us. It isn’t the fault of the owner or property, we just weren’t aware of this. If you have young family members that can handle stairs well this cabin is very nice! The games downstairs are very fun to play. We had trouble keeping the downstairs warm and could not figure out why it was so cold down there. On the last day we realized that the three windows in the downstairs had been left cracked open 2-3 inches. Overall this cabin is really nice for a young family getaway, located just off the strip in a perfect location for shopping and fun. Just be aware it is tucked in on a steep hill and has stairs to three of the four bedrooms.

Hi! We are Courtney & Jonathan! The mountains have always been a favorite vacation spot for our family. We bought this cabin as our vacation home, and we are thrilled to provide a place for families & friends to gather and enjoy the mountains. When we are here, you will probably find us eating way too much cinnamon bread at Dollywood, stocking up on apple butter from the Apple Barn, or relaxing in the cabin enjoying the views and family board games!

Why they chose this property

This property is truly peaceful and serene. We enjoy being tucked away in the privacy of our own cabin while having easy access the attractions of Pigeon Forge.

What makes this property unique

This property is the perfect combination of privacy and convenience! Located on a wooded mountain, you will feel peaceful in a secluded setting, yet can be on the Parkway and at many restaurants and shops in just a few minutes. Other cabins that are close to attractions can be in large cabin developments with multiple neighbors (not very private). This cabin allows guests to enjoy the privacy and beauty of the woods and still have quick and easy access to Pigeon Forge.
