The Owner purchased this house in 2013
We discovered Costa Rica's Southern Pacific coast years back and fell in love with the Country, the people, the food and especially their 'Pura Vida' approach to life. After searching for the perfect location and home we found Dominicalito and the Las Olas development.
Our views are spectacular, and the home 'Modern/Rustic'. We've central air (rarely found), 3 master bedroom suites 2 KING, 1 QUEEN, each with magnificent views, a gated and secure community, and we own sunsets you will never find anywhere else in the world.
We've rented many homes throughout the world and this was the very best. Beautifully and comfortably furnished the house was warm and welcoming the minute we arrived. Spacious 3 master bedroom suites all with interesting bathrooms. THE VIEW WAS PERFECT....EVERY HOUR WAS DIFFERENT AND MAGICAL. INFINITI POOL = MAGNIFIQUE! We loved cooking some meals at home...especially with kitchen window view. The concierge made the trip easy and efficient....he was terrific. Plenty of great restaurants to choose from. Especially in the French area. Exotica was the very best. Ask for Lucy. We highly recommend....and we'll be back!
My fiance and I were down visiting family, and I being a DJ was in town to play some music festivals. We decided on this house for its location, as well as its views and beauty. We had a very nice and relaxing time by the pool, cooking food with friends, and one of the days having family over. The bedrooms are all AMAZING, but waking up to the view from the master bedroom was something else! Raoul was an amazing host and all of our needs were met very quickly. We hope to be back for sure!
We spent the last week of our two month stay in Costa Rica at Casa Serendipia with two other couples. We all absolutely loved the Villa! It is a beautiful home with all three master suites fabulous with comfortable beds, wonderful linens and incredible views. Each master suit bathrooms are beautiful with the highest quality towels. We never wanted to leave the property and found ourselves enjoying the outdoor living space all day long into the beautiful sunsets into night! The kitchen was fabulous for all your cooking needs, even offering the basics such as spices, etc. Floaties for the pool were provided. Even chairs for the beach and ice chest were provided for your day excursions on the beach. Movies and books were also provided, however, we never turned on the TV nor enjoyed the reading provided. We enjoyed the house, the pool, the views, the sun, the beach and each other!
Dominical is a fun, quaint little town and Uvita is nice for day excursions. Out of all the VRBOs we have ever stayed in this one is the absolute best! We didn't want to leave! Southern Costa Rica is my favorite area in Costa Rica! We have been traveling all over Costa Rica for the past two years to see what area we love the best. Every time I go to a new area I think it is my favorite, however, southern Costa Rica is so far my favorite! If you rent this vacation home you will not be sorry! The only problem is that you will have to leave!
We will be back!
From the moment you pass through the gated entrance, with the kind guard and property manager, you know that you have arrived at some place special.Casa Serendipia has it all, barefoot elegance, comfort and absolutely breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and Coastline. With 3 magnificent suites there is room for all. Whether you like the cool ocean breezes, which we prefer, or air conditioning your total comfort is assured. The experience of enjoying the sunsetting viewed from the magnificent infinity pool is simply magical. The location cannot be more convenient. Close proximity to the beach, groceries and easy access to this home add to the overall enjoyment of staying here. We know that if you choose to stay at Casa Serendipia you will never want to leave this home or the country. Enjoy your stay. We absolutely loved ours at this impeccably kept home. Pura Vida.
We have stayed at some of the finest luxury hotels and resorts all over the world, but our week at Casa Serendipia was beyond compare. The villa was posh in every way. The rooms were lovely - spacious and elegantly appointed - with breathtaking views of the Pacific from each of the three master suites. And the rain forest as our backyard teeming with monkeys and beautiful birds made for invigorating morning hikes.
The kitchen had everything we needed from state-of-the-art stainless appliances to pots, pans, corkscrew, whisks etc. etc. If we needed it, it was there. Better than our kitchen at home in Boca.
We'd never been to Costa Rica before and had no idea what this area had to offer but Raul, our concierge (WOW) provided us with detailed recommendations about the best restaurants and attractions, the beaches, waterfalls, and charming little shops. And he hired a fabulous chef and tour guides for various trips (fishing and rafting). I've already recommended Casa Serendipia to a colleague at the office. I just hope that he doesn't get any ideas of using it the week or two that I hope to go back.
The house is absolutely gorgeous. The views are incredible. The pool is perfect. The owner and concierge were easy to work with before and during trip. The concierge, Raul, was friendly and helpful, he helped us book a boat trip and got us some groceries because we were arriving in evening. Knowing that Raul was around to answer questions was great, we didn't need to worry about anything. My husband and I and our two teenage sons could not have been happier. Because each teenager had their own suite, we were felt spoiled, but it helped with family harmony for all to have their own space. The wi-fi was fast and reliable, also a plus for family harmony with teenagers. There was also sky TV and a great collection of DVDs. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked many meals in kitchen and on grill. As others have said the second BM in Uvita was best grocery store in immediate area for us, we missed the AutoMercado that people had recommended on way from San Jose. I've been to Costa Rica a few times before so this trip, instead of trying to see the marquis attractions we stayed in the Dominical/Uvita area and had more than enough to do and saw plenty of animals, birds and natural beauty. And staying close to "home" afforded us sunsets and relaxed evenings at the house. We saw more animals at Hacienda Baru than in previous trips to Manuel Antonio. We found most of the tourists we met in the area, like us, had all been to Costa Rica a few times, so chose this area as "educated consumers". It has a very laid back vibe, yet also has luxury homes and plenty of things to do, we liked rafting, Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, Nauyaca waterfall, and boat trip to Cano Island, although snorkeling visibility is allegedly hit or miss, and on our day it was a miss, still saw lots of fish and sea several sea turtles en route, just not amazing visibility. Because the house and pool was so nice we spent less time than we thought we would at the beaches, but loved seeing the ocean from the house and hearing the waves. The drive from San Jose was no big deal, but 4 wheel drive is a must for the house and area. By day two we got the hang of the steep climbs. Just sitting on the patio or balcony in the early morning and hearing the waves crashing and dozens of birds was heavenly. I wish we had booked two weeks instead of one, it was a superb house, in a lovely location. Wish we were there now.
