Perfect Little Cabin in the UP
This cabin was perfect for what we were looking for. It was far enough away from neighbors, few cabins at the end of the driveway with a long driveway. Cabin was extremely clean and has everything you need. I even broke a button on my pants and they had a sewing kit there to fix it. Plenty of games, cards, poker set, crosswords and books. Has all the dishes and cookware you need. Fridge was very clean. Stairs are steep and might be dangerous for young children. We had to block them off from our dogs since they wanted to jump from a high stair! The woods around is beautiful. There’s a charcoal grill like you see at parks. The canoe is clean and in great shape. The bay off the dock is quite shallow, below the knees.
Overall this was a great experience. If I was one to return to the same place twice, I would return here. The cleanliness and amount of preparedness this cabin offers is perfect for anyone looking to get off the grid.
Thank you for a wonderful stay!
Great time and a nice cabin.
My family of four brought our 15 foot boat to this cabin. The cabin was really nice and spacious. The kids had a great time up in the loft. The lake was beautiful and was great for swimming in and the fishing was ok. The setting was extremely private. Luckily the neighbor was willing to help us locate the dock as we had no cell reception to contact the owner. Getting through the weeds to dock the boat was a bit of a challenge as the dock was short and water was very shallow. The oars were helpful. Kids loved catching frogs and toads by the dock.
Nice trails behind the house once you picked your way through the woods to them. Cabin was clean and lots of info provided on local amenities and what to do in case of emergency like a power outage.
One suggestion- rubber backed bath mat would help save your floors!
Very beautiful cabin!
Our family of 5 very much enjoyed our stay here. The owners supplied us with plenty of plates, cups, utensils in a very well organized and clean kitchen. We loved walking the trails into the forest along with grilling and having a bonfire. It is also in a great location, far enough into the forest that you can enjoy the peace and wilderness but not a super long drive into town to get food/supplies. We over packed in thinking that there wouldn't be enough to use at the cabin but we were definitely wrong. The only thing I suggest to make sure you have is plenty of towels for showers.
We hope to have the opportunity to return again. Definitely worth every bit of the 5 star review. 🙂
Nice, private get-a-way.
This property was tucked away in a gorgeous wooded setting. It was perfect for what we were looking for. Not too close to civilization, but not too far. I would definitely recommend this place and certainly stay there again.
Adorable log cabin in the middle of the woods! No cell service whatsoever.
Great family getaway!
We loved this cabin and how it was set back in the woods away from neighbors. We enjoyed walking the trails behind the cabin with the dog.
