Overview

Property Details

Updated: Jul 27, 2016
Studio, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

Experience this charming vacation or business executive private studio apartment in our 1880's fully restored Victorian home. Our location for Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest is IDEAL - 5 minute walk to Jazz Fest at the Fair Grounds Race Track - most venues are within walking distance. Bicycling is the best way to travel long distances during Mardi Gras. Walk to grocery stores, restaurants, Bayou St. John & City Park. Relax and BBQ in the completely landscaped lush and tropical backyard. Plenty of street parking. All the comforts of home, just pack your bags and make your way over!

New Orleans has so much to offer! Start your day with Mimosa's, coffee, eggs benedict or beignets. Enjoy a leisurely walk in the Quarter or Garden District, a Steamboat Ride on the River, or cocktails on the balcony before dancing the night away on Bourbon Street. If Bourbon isn't your cup of tea, relax while listening to some of the country's best Jazz Musicians at clubs within blocks of the studio. The City is one of America's Jewels, don't blame us when you want to return to her again and again and again!

When it's time to take a break, this studio comes complete with a 42' flat-screen TV with full cable to keep you amused and informed during your stay, along with a full kitchen - gas range and oven, microwave, coffee maker, and toaster-oven provide all the basics for snacking or cooking a full meal. The king bed can convert into 2 twin beds along with a pull out twin-size couch for a third guest!

Come be a part of the party in New Orleans and 'Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler'!

Herb's Home was perfect for our NOLA vacation. The house is located in a picturesque New Orleans neighborhood walking distance to most places, including restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops AND just a 5 min. walk to Jazz Fest which was amazing to be so close to all of the action. We took short taxi's rides to all of our favorite Music Halls, hung out in the back yard and really enjoyed the place!!! Getting to know Herb was awesome too, he knows everything about the city and it was really helpful to have some local advice.

Our stay at Herb's studio apartment was awesome. Location could not have been better. Sooo many places within walking distance. Herb has such great hospitality!!! He was very informative and available for any suggestions but also gave us all the privacy we wanted. He really cares about providing his guests with everything that may be needed and more. His personal touches such as fresh fruit, bottles water, breakfast foods, bottles wines, large supply of quality white towel, all bathroom items, and kitchen with everything anyone might need right down to condiments, goes up and beyond any other place we have stayed at. He did not set a check out time and told us to take our time and stay all long as we needed or wanted the day we were leaving. I would rate our stay at a 10

If ever coming back to New Orleans we would choose to stay at Herb's place.

Clean, great location, convenient, romantic, comfortable

  • 5 of 5

Herb was so nice. All the reviews are true. He made me and my boyfriend feel so welcomed. I can see why he has five star reviews. The location is perfect and convenient to many things. We walked quite a lot or took Uber if we needed to. Herb did also provide us with fresh fruit and drove us to the French Quarter once and gave us a great history lesson. You will not regret staying here. THANKS HERB! Pamela and Brent.

Absolutely Perfect

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent the better part of a romantic week in the gorgeously appointment apartment. Herb was a wonderful host. We had all we needed and then some when we arrived and throughout our stay. The garden area is perfect for your morning meditation, coffee and Bloody Mary. The walk to the French Quarters is quite doable. 20 min and your in the middle of the action. There are great restaurants, coffee shops, banks, wine stores and grocery stores within a 5 block walk too so even staying the neighborhood and relaxing close to the apartment a day or 2 is a great alternative.

We felt no need to rent a car. Taxied too and from apartment and airport and hired one Uber driver to take us to Garden District. Note: we did walk back from the Garden District and that was fun for us New Yorkers.

I whole heartedly recommend this apartment for New Orleans getaway or staycation.

Final words of thanks to Herb for being such a fantastic host.

Best of Locations!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our visit to New Orleans! This is a great centrally located place to stay. It's was walking distance to restaurants, coffee shops, groceries and the trolley. Beautiful tree lined neighborhood with tons of character and architecture. We loved it and Herb and Louie his reggae pup, made for the finest hosts ever. Your stay in Langioppe house will not disappoint!

Cozy space and wonderful location to explore NOLA

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our weekend getaway here. The space is very charming and unique, both the indoors and outdoors. It is fully equipped, though when you're in a city like New Orleans, chances are you won't be doing much cooking. We were able to walk to neighborhood restaurants (like Degas for brunch) as well as to City Park. It's also not too bad of a walk down to the French Quarter, which we did during the daytime a couple times. Esplanade is a marvel of a street and so great to walk and see all the neat architecture. Herb was incredibly gracious and helpful to us. Would recommend to anyone!

Perfect for what we were looking for! Met all expectations!

  • 5 of 5

Herb,

Thank you so much for helping to make our 6th anniversary and 1st NOLA experience a great success! Everything met and exceeded our expectations! Everything was very clean and felt authentic to living the NOLA lifestyle. Perfect location as well - close to French Q, restaurants and most of the main tourist attractions.

We will see you again I'm sure!
