Having lived in major cities on the east and west coast; my husband Jim, who is a native North Carolinian, and I decided that Asheville was a perfect place to rear our children. We enjoy the beauty and healthy benefits of being outdoors. Western NC offers that and more. We enjoy gardening, mountain biking, kayaking, cooking, making art, reading, and providing a peaceful respite among our properties.

We chose this neighborhood because of the proximity to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. But, also because of the privacy, and views-both day and night when the stars shine bright.

We purchased the property in 2019 and built the modest size custom home in 2022-2023 because it adjoins another parcel that we own, and enables us to preserve the quality of life for the neighborhood and the wildlife. On the combined 17 acres we have created a series of linked hiking trails; that we maintain, which blend into a world of its own with both year round and ephemeral creeks, mature native forest, and a vast array of flora and fauna that call it home. The location also offers easy access to Asheville and Weaverville-only minutes away allowing for convenient shopping and day trips to the surrounding area. I-26 and I-40 transportation conduits are easily accessed for both car and air travel. We consider ourselves stewards of the land and want to share its unique beauty with others.
