About Kira Golub

A total renovation on a beautiful historic home and carriage house that sat empty for years. With months of work and lots of love the carriage house has become a nice little get away.

What makes this house unique

We are happy to help with recommendations on things to see, places to eat, and fun things to do. We have had nothing but positive feedback on the comfort and location of our cottage. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Guestbook comments from the owner

I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful stay we had down in Charleston in early March. The bottle of wine was a perfect touch as we entered the cottage. Thank you so much for that. Your place is perfect for relaxing at night after busy days of sightseeing in your beautiful city. The accomodations were perfect for Jeff and I along with my mom. We certainly enjoyed many of your suggestions for restaurants, sites to see and just places to walk. Your friendliness made us right at home. Thank you again for your hospitality.

p.s. we've told our friends and family about this wonderful experience!

This property was great and perfect for a girls trip. Everything was well updated and nicely taken care of. Very comfortable beds and great sitting area to lounge after a day of shopping and eating.

Amazing & charming downtown find

  • 5 of 5

Couldn't have been happier with our stay. The house is in a very convenient location to both upper King St. and the French Quarter. The house itself was very comfortable for 4 adults, great bedrooms, updated bathrooms and a nice living area. Would recommend the place to anyone.

Fantastic Stay!

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful and private house. My family stayed there for the eclipse and couldn't have been happier with our accommodations. Very clean and well maintained. Beds were very comfortable. AC was fantastic because it was ridiculously hot. We couldn't wait to get back to our "home" after walking around the city! We did tough out the heat to have some wine and play dice on the back patio, very quiet and serene. I highly recommend this VRBO.

Bring your own hangers. Bring your own pillows. Maybe tools too

  • 2 of 5

Couldn't get in the lock box when we arrived. Couldn't get owner on phone. Called vrbo and went from VM HELL TO ON HOLD. Sitting in the sun on the steps. Storm threatening and all of our luggage exposed on porch.

This is a pretty property in a great location. And obviously the owners put a bit of money in the renovation. They should think a bit more about basic comfort and safety and being a bit more available when they know they have a checkin.

And? The toilet seat should not have been on the verge of falling off when we arrived.

Folks should be warned the the handle on the kettle becomes red hot when water is heating.

Information on sheet is incorrect.

And I could go on

On a personal note ? I loved visiting Cuba too but I wouldn't be putting my photos up in beach lodgings in Florida? And they really seem strange in Charleston

And btw. No I do not what your app on my phone so you can harass the hell out of me with emails and ads. And no I will not recommend VRBO to anyone at this point.
