Perfect location. A 'home away from home'. Exactly what it says on the can.

A great location, halfway between the dock and beach, 100 or so yards from either. A very quiet place, yet within easy walking distance of evening entertainment (Bridge Tender etc.) and a short drive or AMI free trolley (stops literally at the end of the street!) trip from shops of all kinds. Comfortable accommodation with everything (really, everything) that normal people would need. Facilities were exactly as described, though we couldn't get the DVD to work and, for us Europeans, American TV was too exhausting to watch! Probably a 'user too stupid' error... Stayed for 2 weeks in Oct. 2018, despite the unusual red tide problem, which we already knew about but actually wasn't an issue during the first 10 days. I saw manatee and a shark, plus many, many sheepshead, mullet, small snook from the wooden dock, plus one snook easily over 4ft long. It can't have been the only one. Just sayin'... At the beach, we swam among shoals of small fish and saw lots of dolphins, at closer range than some 'dolphin viewing' boat trips can offer. I chose not to fish but would urge future renters to respect the kit that Mark makes available. Please, just rinse the stuff off in fresh water before you put it back in the rack! The same with the beach chairs etc. Don't make him have to replace it all every frickin' year. Up your game folks, or he'd be silly not to stop providing it. Though we didn't need it, it was comforting to know that Mark and Lillian were on hand to take care of any potential issues. All in all, we had a lovely holiday and would happily recommend.

I went to chill out and chill out I did.

After being messed about by Alamo for 7 hours,I did not get to Marks condo in Bradenton, until 12 O'clock in the evening. Stressed out angry and depressed.The first thing I did, was carried my luggage in, then for some reason I opened the fridge door and to my surprise there was four bottles of beer in the fridge.I was delighted,I sank the first one, and that was the start of my holiday,Alamo was in the past. On my second beer,I was inspecting the flatlet was immaculate, plenty cooking utensils glasses crockery coffee machine in all you need for self catering in factual you need for a self catering holiday.I tried the shower it was a buzz plenty of powered as hot or cold as you would likened as many towels and toiletry's that you could wish for. I opened the 3rd beer, tried the bed, the bed it was so comfortable that I fell asleep without sipping the 3rd beer. I woke up in the morning refreshed and chilled, made a coffee,(supplied) and went for a walk turned right walked 100 yards and there was a jetty out on a lake and the views were stunning,I walked back to the condo, then walked up the other way 100 yards and landed on the most beutifil beach pure white sand and any time of day ,room for everyone. That was my first eight hours, if I could I would write a book about this holiday.The whole island was lovely plenty to do.Mark the owner of the condo every day, asked me if there was anything I needed or any way could he help me.I think he was a bit worried about me, thinking I was old and on my own but I'm only 72 and a man of the world.I have spent six holidays in the USA and this one chillled me out the most.There were plenty lovely restaurants lovely food and staff likewise. As old as I am I like driving,I like to put a spurt on, put my foot down now and again.But not in Bradenton, if you want to chill out this is the place to be, PS.I left the last bottle of beer and added two more for the next Tennant and bottle of Californian wine.I hope they will be as chilled out as I was. ,

Compact, peaceful and relaxing setting

Very nice, clean property. One minute walk to both the beach and the inland waterway. Nice little shaded courtyard with chairs and tables for relaxing when at the property. Walking distance to some shops and eating places. Would we stay there again? - absolutely. Mark is a really nice owner and is on-site.

Relaxing getaway

Cute little cottage close to the beach and a short walk to bridge st pier. It was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the courtyard was delightful for sitting and reading. We appreciated having access to beach equipment and towels! We would definitely stay here again!

Lovely stay at Anna Maria Island

We had a wonderful time at Island Getaway. It was a great location. Close to the beach and restaurants. Loved the Courtyard area for hanging out. It was a nice quiet place to enjoy. We walked everywhere. Chris was very responsive. We would love to come back again.
