GREAT time for an Escape to Nature's Elegant Lakeside Mountain Retreat 6br/8bath

Escape to Nature's Elegant Lakeside Mountain Retreat, nestled in the Southern Highland Mountains of North Carolina, Catatoga Lake Lodge offers a sanctuary where tranquility and luxury meet amidst breathtaking natural beauty. This exclusive lakeside mountain retreat is perfect for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're seeking a refreshing spring sojourn, a leisurely summer escape, or a cozy fall hideaway, our grand six-bedroom, eight-bathroom vacation home is ready to welcome you. The Lodge comfortably accommodates 12 adults and children, with additional sleeping arrangements on three plush sofas and the availability of pack-n-plays for the little ones. Our home is a favored destination for large family gatherings, cherished for its generous space and warm atmosphere.

Nestled within the scenic Catatoga community, the Lake Lodge sprawls over 5,000 square feet of sophisticated mountain elegance. Each of the six private bedroom suites, featuring five queen beds and one king-sized bed, includes a full PRIVATE bathroom and breathtaking views of Lake Catatoga. Select suites offer the luxury of private balconies, inviting you to immerse in the tranquil beauty that surrounds you, with each bedroom granting direct access to the outdoors – be it a deck, balcony, or porch. The lower level's covered porch, adorned with a stack stone fireplace, is nothing short of magical.
Step inside to discover a lodge that exudes warmth and welcoming charm, highlighted by 22-foot ceilings, two wood-burning fireplaces made of natural stacked stone, and balconies that gaze out over the serene lake. A fully-equipped professional kitchen awaits your culinary explorations, while a cozy library offers a peaceful retreat for relaxation. Outdoors, a lakeside patio equipped with a grill and fire pit becomes the perfect backdrop for memorable gatherings, complete with provided firewood, starter logs, and lighters.

Adventure seekers will find Catatoga a gateway to a plethora of outdoor activities, from swimming and tennis to exploring waterfalls and hiking nature trails. Anglers can look forward to fishing for trophy trout in Indian Creek's pristine waters. Although Catatoga is distinct from Lake Toxaway, boasting its own private 12-acre lake where only non-gas-powered boats are permitted, guests can enjoy the use of community-provided canoe, kayaks, paddleboards, and life jackets, or bring their own non-gas-powered vessels.
Access to the community clubhouse, with its four Har-Tru tennis courts and Olympic-sized swimming pool, adds another layer of luxury to your stay, though availability may vary due to maintenance or private events. The pool welcomes guests from Memorial Day through Labor Day, enriching your summer experience.

Couples Trip to the Catatoga Lodge
Enjoyed a perfect 4-day weekend trip with three other couples (all in our late 40s and early 50s) to the Lake Toxaway / Brevard area. The Lodge was everything we hoped it would be, with plenty of room for privacy for each couple, group cooking, and collective indoor hang time. Well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed, master suites for every couple to enjoy (with two to spare), and tons of firewood to burn in the huge den fireplace, large lower-deck fireplace, and lake-side firepit. The outdoor space down by the water is what really made the trip special, as we spent every moment we could soaking in the beautiful and serene surroundings down by the water. We didn't see a single other person on the Catatoga property the entirety of our trip, so we truly felt like we had a whole state park to ourselves. Would happily and enthusiastically stay at the Catatoga Lodge again in the future. And plan to!

Very relaxing with family
We enjoyed staying at the Lodge. We had a wonderful time with our children, grandchildren and family. The house is spacious and great for entertaining. The children enjoyed making smores. We hiked to a waterfall. The clubhouse and swimming pool is beautiful. If you have any questions the property manager Jim is helpful.
