About Gary Hill

I am a retired restaurant design/engineer. I have spent most of my working life in southern California but also 15 years in Guam and Hawaii. After retiring I have spent the last 10 years doing adventures I didn't have time for when I was younger. I've thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail and the Israeli National Trail. Also bicycled across our country three times. I've climbed Mt Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mt Fuji in Japan. I am an AT trail maintainer and boundary monitor and also volunteer at the Appalachian Trail Conservancy Visitors Center in Harpers Ferry. I also spend much of my time in Metro DC with my fiance Taeko.

Gary Hill purchased this bungalow in 2012

Great location in Harpers Ferry! Cute, cozy and clean home within walking distance of national park, shops and restaurants. So much better than a hotel.

This was a great cottage for our girls get away weekend. It was very charming, clean and cozy. We enjoyed our stay in Harpers Ferry and also visited other nearby towns. Gary Responded quickly to any questions we had. I will be looking forward to a return stay in the future!

Charming house in a special town

  • 5 of 5

We loved the charm of this well-furnished home. It is located close to town and historic sites, yet has privacy. Relax on the porch or landscaped patio after a fun day enjoying the riverside trails and natural beauty of Harpers Ferry. Gary has furnished everything but is accessible if you have any questions.
