Fantastic Property In The Perfect Location

Spent 2-weeks in the Seal apartment with my teenage son. Surfed Malibu first point almost every day, very busy break even getting up at first light we were not alone in the water. Then used the apartment as a base to visit all that LA and surrounding area had to offer. Seal is very well equipped and appointed. The apartment was spotlessly clean when we arrived late in the evening and there were plenty of clean towels & sheets to last us the 2-week stay.

The sound of the ocean is loud as noted in a couple of the other reviews, but this was one of my favourite things about the place, you wake up and the sea is right there.

Only one tiny issue while we were there with a glitchy WiFi signal, however, I reported this to the management team and it was resolved within a day, great responsiveness.

Would recommend this place to anyone who loves the water and would love to go back myself.

Perfect for us

The one thing that stood out to me about this property above all others was that the owner said "this is not a party house". Sold! I don't want to say how much we loved this place because everyone will want to stay here! One previous reviewer said it best; it's not brand new but it is well maintained and loved. I was in love the moment I walked in the door. The waves are so loud when the tide comes in, combined with the cool ocean breeze makes a perfect sleeping environment. The bed was very comfortable and firm. There's a nice sized TV in the bedroom and a very large closet. The bathroom is a good size and in very good condition. The kitchen is the most worn but is charming just the same and everything works. The large TV in the livingroom was great for a lazy evening of watching movies. We never got tired of the beautiful ocean view and watching the Pelicans fish for their meals. We got to see the fireworks shot off the Malibu pier, which is only two minutes away. And on a clear day, you can see the coast from Santa Monica all the way to El Segundo. One thing to note; you are not facing west, so (pro) no blinding afternoon sun but (con) no sunset vistas. The way the land curves, you are actually facing south. In a way that's better because you always have the best light. I was concerned that there might be noise since we were immediately adjacent to the Malibu Beach Inn but they were very quiet neighbors. Even for a holiday weekend, it wasn't very crazy on this section of the beach. The crashing waves just about drown out all other sounds. We really enjoyed this cute little beach property and would love to return.

Great vacation on the beach!

Had a great Spring Break in this condo with my husband and teenage son! The location was stunning and the condo was clean, charming and had everything we needed. We were fascinated with how the tide changed and went for long walks on the beach every day. Very convenient to have our own garage for the car. The management team was wonderful with clear, prompt communication. Thank you Angel for greeting us and showing us around. Make sure you drive north on the PCH to visit Zuma Beach and Neptune's Net.

Quite the Place!

Great option to a hotel. As you can see, the view is fantastic. Place is extremely clean and the management team was excellent. Location is perfect. You can walk to several restaurants. Just keep in mind, it is worn in, nothing is new, however it made the place charming. I will be back. We really enjoyed this property.

EXCEEDED EXPECTATIONS!

Spent a wonderful 3 nights in this unit and loved every minute. From the minute I entered and looked around I felt at home but with the most fabulous view of the ocean right outside. I loved the cottage feel and while it clearly has seen years of love and fun it was clean as could be and utterly comfortable. For the price I can't imagine why anyone would spend twice the price for a hotel room without all the great features offered here. I spent hours watching the sunrises and sunsets and the tides in between right from the great deck. I hope to return sometime soon.

Our new yearly get-away

We just spent a week at Seal and absolutely loved it. What we experienced was beyond our expectations. The interior is 100% beachfront shabby chic. Anything you need is provided. The bed is great. The flat screens and large and equipped with basic cable stations. And the deck - every morning we couldn't wait to get up, grab a cup of coffee, and say hello the the ocean. Every evening we took one last look before retiring.

By the way, during our stay we saw dolphins, seals, pelicans and (to our surprise) a whale. He breached and spouted for our enjoyment.

Walking distance to the Malibu Pier (great restaurant - Malibu Pier Bar & Restaurant), Cross Creek (shopping and restaurants), and Nobu.

Staying at Seal proved to be possibly the best vacation we've ever had. We were looking for piece and tranquility and definitely found it

The unique part about this area of Malibu is that everything is very near; world class restaurants and several modestly priced cafes, fitness centers, health spas, surfing lessons and rentals, kayak and diving rentals, wine tasting, trendy local stores for shopping and experiencing the flavor of Malibu. Plus, there are numerous hiking and biking trails in the Malibu/Santa Monica mountains.

One of the main reasons to go to Malibu is to relax and enjoy the beaches and beautiful mountains. However, be sure to experience the fine cultural experiences such as the Getty Villa, Adamson House and Pepperdine Center for the Arts. You may also like to visit some of the southern California theme parks; Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and Universal Studios.
