Rebecca Helton answered my questions when I first called, made me feel comfortable, and made the booking process on-line very easy. Family really enjoyed the hot tub, ping pong and pool tables. Dining table with eight chairs accommodated our group perfectly. Kitchen was well stocked with dishes, flatware, pots & pans, etc. Appreciated having a starting supply of toilet tissue, soaps, paper towels, etc. Very convenient having a washer and dryer, and an ice maker in the refrigerator. A generous supply of towels, etc was appreciated. We had plenty of blankets and pillows. Light Switch labeling was a convenience which eliminated frustration. Loved the deck to sit in the rockers and watch the Trams go up and down the mountain. We were thrilled to see a Mama Bear with four cubs enjoying the lush green lawn next door for a few minutes about 6:45 p.m. on Friday April 1st. Overall we had a wonderful visit at the Chalet although the trip up and down the mountain was winding and got more narrow the higher we went, but the road was in good shape - it was just more narrow than we were use to.

Great for family get away!

  • 5 of 5

My family had a great weekend in Gatlinburg and really enjoyed staying here. The four of us hit the sights but came back here to relax at night. The kids loved the pool table, ping pong table and board games. Surprisingly my son didn't play the Wii but one was available. The hot tub was great to relax after all day hiking or on the strip. The balcony may be the hidden gem of this place. Go out and watch the sun rise over the mountain. There was something for everyone here. Easily could hold 8 or more people. I look forward to coming back annually!

Great vacation stay

  • 5 of 5

Perfect place to stay in the mountains. Great for bear watching on upper decks and beautiful place in general. Personally thought it was the best place to be to see bears as some walked up the driveway and around the house! Super comfortable with plenty of space for everyone who stays.

Wonderful wonderful place to see bears! We saw no less than 2 bears each day in close proximity to the chalet. Lots of good pics. Chalet was nice and clean. Very prompt and pleasant meeting Rebecca when we had a maintenance issue. We enjoyed the game area too when we just wanted to hang out there. Everyone had plenty of room and could still be together when we wanted to. Would definitely recommend this chalet to a friend and will be back again. Thank you for making our summer vacation one of the best places yet! Angie Grogan and family.

Our kids called it home!

  • 4 of 5

We loved staying here! After a long day of crowded streets and lots of fun, it was great to come back to peace and quiet. The beds were comfy and everything was in working order. The kids loved having their own bathroom and floor. The hottube worked great and was definitely needed after long days of walking around Gatlinburg. This home was a great "home away from home."

Great family home

  • 4 of 5

The home is really up the steep mountain roads - so put on a brave face and go! It was perfectly suited in the woods. A beautiful location away from the "city" noise and lights, yet close enough that you can easily access everything. Just don't forget your supplies, the roads are a bit difficult to navigate at night due to the lack of lighting and the many switchbacks required to get there. The home itself is a bit dated but comfortable. The kids loved the ping pong and pool table in the basement - enough so that they ignored the WII that is available there. Beds were comfortable and plenty of space for our family of 7 to have space without running on top of each other. There are 4 bedrooms - 2 on the 2nd floor and 2 on the 3rd floor - both with full bathrooms and bonus - there is a 3rd bathroom in the basement area. The kitchen has everything needed to feed everyone easily. Roomy and comfortable is how I describe the whole property. We did site a bear walking down the road, so don't leave out anything you want to keep whole and make sure to use the provided bear proof garbage receptacles. Access to the home was easy with the digital key pad and the access code given at the completed payment worked easily. Communication with the owner was clear and concise. We would use this rental again.
