2 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, Sleeps 6

Great for family of 4 and a family pet. This home is a great spot for relaxation, and to get away from it all. It has been beautifully remodeled with modern lighting, hard wood floors and ceilings, slate tiled gas fireplace, concrete kitchen counters and updated baths. The large partly shady/partly sunny deck is perfect for lounging or entertaining for a group.

This home provides comfortable sleeping and dining for up to 6 adults and children (3 maximum if single adults).

The home is located in the Meyers area, with easy access to the Pacific Rim trail for amazing day hikes--and 1.5 miles from the Corral Area Mountain Bike trails. The hustle-bustle of Stateline and the casinos are several miles away, providing the privacy and quiet you are looking for in South Lake Tahoe—but with easy access to night life when you want it.

The upstairs master suite includes a queen bed beneath skylights, down comforter/duvet, and private bath that has been tastefully updated. This bedroom is completely private and can be shut off from the downstairs, to watch HDTV/DVD or enjoy the sky view overhead. The downstairs bedroom has a king bed with down comforter/duvet, and futon sofa that can be used as a double bed. The downstairs bath has also been tastefully updated with beautiful wood ceiling, marble counter tops, modern fixtures, soft lighting, and new tile shower with massage jets and a heavy glass enclosure. Each bedroom includes quality bed linens, pillows and extra blankets. The bathrooms include towels, bath mat, hair dryer, bar soap and shampoo.

The kitchen is super functional, with concrete counter tops, hard wood floors, and new appliances. The kitchen has a small bar with 2 bar stools, modern lighting, and is open to the living room and dining room, for great conversation while preparing meals. The dining room table has seating for 6. It is stocked with enough place settings for 8, and all necessary cooking appliances and utensils. There are basic supplies such as spices and foil for your use.

The living room is the perfect place to kick back on the comfy sofa in front of the fireplace and watch TV or movies. In addition to the sofa, there are 2 side chairs plus pillows for the hearth.

The home has Wi-Fi, plus an A/V system that includes a 32' HDTV, Charter digital cable and DVD player. There is an extra HDMI port for Roku, Apple TV, game systems and a 3.5mm input to connect iPods, iPhones or other mobile devices that you may travel with.

This getaway includes a beautiful, large deck perfect for summer lounging, gathering with family and friends, and BBQing. The home includes a gas grill, large patio table with seating for 6 and two adirondack chairs.

For evening entertainment indoors, there are 2 HDTVs, games and a game table in the upstairs bedroom.

For the outdoor enthusiast, this home is in a great location, with easy access to hiking and mountain biking, river rafting and golf. The Tahoe to Yosemite Trail (TYT) and Pacific Crest Trails (PCT) are easily accessible from the home and are the main Tahoe trailheads for backpacking south to Mount Whitney. The South Upper Truckee Road Trailhead is located at the end of the South Upper Truckee Road in Meyers. It is a paved road to the trailhead and is maintained year-round.

The unofficial hub of mountain bike activity in South Shore is just 1.5 miles out the back door. This area has a high density of trails for all ability levels, and will keep almost anyone interested for hours.

During the summer, depending on the water level, there is rafting on the South Upper Truckee river. Fishing season for the Lake Tahoe tributaries is July 1-September 30.

For golfers, there are two golf courses within a short distance: Tahoe Paradise golf course is less than a mile from the home, and the Lake Tahoe Golf Course is 1.5 mi.

In addition you are only 1 mile to the nearest grocery store, gas station, and several great restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Reviewer Comments:

Rental property was fantastic. We had a great time. My only recommendation (and this is for SUMMERTIME) would be if fans could be available to move some air around. Especially for the upstairs. The one that was there didn't work very well.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the review and for choosing to stay with us. In the future give us a call, we have an on call staff 24-7 who could have delivered some fans to you. Our goal is to provide one per bedroom, but if these were missing or even if you did have those and needed some more, we would have been happy to accommodate. Thank you again for taking the time to review the home and for being excellent guests. We hope to see you again sometime!

Reviewer Comments:

This cabin is gorgeous, clean, and perfect for my husband and I and our couple-friends (plus their baby). While some people might not like the location because it's away from all the action, we enjoyed not being in the touristy area of Tahoe. The amenities provided are great as well! Would definitely stay here again if we go back.

Reviewer Comments:

This was a great vacation experience! From the moment we walked in, our family felt at home. The management company had left the lights and heat on to welcome us to the property. This was a pleasant surprise- we were able to unwind and unpack after a long car trip. The house was VERY clean and well maintained. It was exactly as depicted in the photos. Not large, but perfect for a family. Downstairs was the kitchen, living room, dining area, large bedroom with adjacent futon area, bathroom and laundry. The kitchen appliances were new and easy to use and there was plenty of cutlery and dishes. Upstairs there was a second bedroom that was perfect for our teenager. It had its own tv and sitting area, along with a dated bathroom. Functional and clean, just not updated. Due to the slope of the roof, a handheld shower head would be a really great addition (hint, hint). Did I mention how clean it was? There were nice linens available and ample storage space in the closets and dressers. The beds were comfortable, but bring your own pillows if you have strong preferences. Location wise, it was great. We spent most of our time at Sierra-at-Tahoe. The house was half way between the slope and South Lake Tahoe city proper. Nice quiet residential community, no road noise. All in all, we would stay here again and definitely recommend it!

The whole process of selecting, securing, and checking in to our Tahoe vacation home was easy and uncomplicated. Love the technology used to make accessing the home simple and suggestions, guidelines, and info on the rental were easy to find and follow. Close to South Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Resort, and Sierra at Tahoe ski area, this cabin had a great location. Tastefully decorated with a great compact kitchen with all the amenities you could want. The bed (downstairs king) was super comfortable (we didn't use the upstairs). We plan on coming back again!

Location

Activity and Interests

Lake Tahoe has year-round activities for everyone, and includes both indoors and outdoors. The location of our home is really great for skiing, snow shoeing, hiking, mountain biking, river rafting and golfing. For night time activities, the casinos, movie theatres and acclaimed restaurants are within a 10 mile drive.

Winter is one of the best and busiest times at Lake Tahoe. There is world-class skiing just 6-10 miles from the home at either Sierra-at-Tahoe resort, or Heavenly Mountain resort. There are also sledding hills, ice skating rinks, and year-round heated indoor pools.

Summer offers a completely different and beautiful environment, with almost every outdoor activity possible, and with the most breath-taking scenery.

A 5.5 mile hike to Meiss Cabin is where the PCT and TYT routes join. The Big Meadow north and south trailheads are less than 5 miles from the home.

The South Upper Truckee Road Trailhead is located at the end of the South Upper Truckee Road in Myers. It is a paved road to the trailhead and is maintained year-round.

The unofficial hub of mountain bike activity in South Shore is just 1.5 miles out the back door. This area has a high density of trails for all ability levels, and will keep almost anyone interested for hours. You will find everyone out here having fun, from people in body armor and downhill bikes to families with kids, to XC racers riding intervals.

During the summer, depending on the water level, there is rafting on the South Upper Truckee river. As the Upper Truckee flows towards the lake, it becomes more gentle. The river flows through the Lake Tahoe Golf Course, and often you will see tubing on the river there. Points for entry include the Highway 50 bridge near South Upper Truckee Blvd, and the Highway 50 bridge at Sawmill Road. When the water is high enough, you can float all the way to Lake Tahoe.

Fishing season for the Lake Tahoe tributaries is July 1-September 30.

For golfers, the Tahoe Paradise golf course is less than a mile from the home, and the Lake Tahoe Golf Course is 1.5 miles.

In addition to proximity to these outdoor activities, the cabin is about 1 mile to the nearest grocery store, coffee shop, and several great restaurants for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
