From our guest book:

The cabin was a bonus on our stay! You guys thought of everything a person needed. Really enjoyed the morning view with coffee. Seeing the wildlife was relaxing. The cabin was cozy, our family was very relaxed when we walked in! The board games were a plus. A very peaceful and enjoyable stay. We will come back again and recommend anyone to stay. The weekend was just not enough time. Thanks you guys

Quiet and Relaxing in the Black Hills

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay in Custer at Ken And Marcy's cabin. Great location, quiet place to relax after a busy day. We were on our motorcycle trip and with a little hail the overhang was great for protection. The cabin is easy to get to all paved road. Sitting outside in the evening or morning with a cup of coffee very therapeutic. Everything was very clean and accommodating. We would highly recommend this cabin.

This is a beautiful setting with wildlife coming right up to the backyard. The cabin is furnished with everything you will need. The decor is very well done. I was especially impressed by the upkeep and construction of the cabin. Will definitely go back when I return to Black Hills.

Peaceful and Unique

  • 5 of 5

I wanted to take my 3 daughters to the Black Hills but didn't want to pay hotel prices or stay in a busy campground. This place was the perfect fit for us. Nested in the National Forrest at the end of a road, it was awfully peaceful and very unique. Everything was as described in their ad, as well as other reviews (which I thank others for writing as it sure helps me decide!). We very much enjoyed being in the heart of all there is to do. The town of Custer had everything we needed, from a grocery store with healthy foods and good cuts of meat, to a walk-in clinic, drug store and even a car mechanic. Guess you could say we had quite an adventure ;)

Ken and Marcy said to call any time we needed anything, and while we hoped we wouldn't have to call on them, inevitably we did. Ken recommended the walk in clinic as well as the mechanic and both were superb. Marcy was sweet and kind, and even when we left something behind, she was quick to find it and ship it out to us. We can't thank them enough for sharing this place with us. Five stars all the way!

Very clean!

As a family of four with an 8 year old and 3 year old, this cabin was perfect. The kitchen was equipped with everything we needed and the washer and dryer were nice to have as well. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Location

From the Owner

In 2005 my husband and I were looking for a place in the Black Hills for when we were able to retire that was centrally located to all that the Hills have to offer. We built this cabin and used it for our many vacations to the Black Hills. Being adjacent to the national forest we have enjoyed many beautiful hikes and abundant wildlife just outside our door way. Since we recently completed the building of our permanent home we are now able to share this piece of heaven with others.
