During the year-long restoration process of this 1930's home, every surface, fixture, window and door was meticulously restored to maintain the authentic character, fitting of this landmark property. No detail has been overlooked. Colorful authentic Mexican tiles, custom painted surfaces, vintage photographic art, restored brass hardware, original windows, and luxury appointments fill each and every space. With a designer's eye for unique patterns and textures, the whimsical furnishings with Moroccan undertones add playful charm and unique sophistication.
Location! Location! Location! Guest will step out the front door of Downtown Paradise and find themselves in the midst of great shopping, casual local eateries, fine dining and more. The Santa Barbara International Film Festival in February kicks off a year-long calendar packed with cultural festivals, seasonal parades and a variety of celebrations. Three of the town's historic theaters are just down the street (The Granada, The Arlington, and The Lobero). Each venue offers its own style of live entertainment; from Broadway shows to world-class concerts.
With this ideal location, enjoy long leisurely walks through the diverse neighborhoods with eclectic architecture and lush parks for all ages to experience something different. Stop along the way to appreciate the varying mountain and ocean views from sunrise to sunset.

The Living Room with fireplace is a cozy place to relax and unwind from a busy work week, or full day of shopping. The unique feature of this room is not only the stylish appointments, but also the flat screen TV that disappears into a unique trunk-like cabinet when not in use.
The Kitchen is a well stocked galley style masterpiece with every amenity a gourmet chef desires. Full-size under counter front loading washer and dryer complete the smart choices.
Between the Kitchen and Living Room is the Formal Dining Room where conversation is effortless around the wide round table fitted with 6 upholstered chairs.
Upstairs, the main Master Bedroom with luxurious pillow top king-size bed faces French doors that open to the enclosed rooftop deck. With a glass of local wine in-hand, relax on the outdoor sectional sofa or soak in the full size spa and watch spectacular sunsets over the red tiled roofs of the City. The second Master Bedroom upstairs with memory foam king-size bed is restful and bright with corner windows and mountain views.
With a sense of humor and a respect for keeping the original 1930's tile work intact, the upstairs bathroom with a bathtub shower combination is dressed in vibrant vintage purple tiles.
The downstairs 3rd Bedroom offers 2 twin beds and a flat screen TV. There is a convenient Powder Room just outside this room in the hall.

7-Night minimum for all bookings made before Oct 1st.
3-Night minimum for current year bookings made after Oct 1st.
Christmas Weeks (Dec 19 - 26 & Dec 26 - Jan 2)
7-Night minimum (in the fixed weeks above) for all bookings made before Nov 1st.
3-Night minimum (and flexible dates) for current year bookings made after Nov 1st.
Stays of less than 30 nights are subject to a 12% Lodging Tax + $2/night Tourism Tax.
$300 Cleaning Fee (14+ night stays require additional cleaning fees), Booking Fee (varies based on reservation cost).
$2,000 security deposit refundable within 14 days of checkout. Deposit is reduced to $500 with purchase of Damage Waiver.
30+ night stays require extra security deposit, and do not qualify for the damage waiver program.

My first trip to Santa Barbara was just amazing! Hopefully I will be coming back very soon! The location was perfect, walking distance to downtown and a short trolly ride that drops you off right at the pier! Very cozy town house! Thank you!
The location of this property was perfect! Walking distance to so many things and located in a quiet neighborhood which made for very peaceful nights. The house was clean and the beds were very comfortable. Our kids' favorite part was roasting marshmallows over the outside fire pit. We hope to be able to come back next year to stay again.
We were in Santa Barbara for a wedding and wanted a place to crash between events that was peaceful b ut convenient. This property hit the spot. It was centrally located, easy to access and a delightful place to stay. The place was every bit as advertized. The beds were wonderful, the kitchen was modern and well equipped and the surroundings were quiet. We were able to walk to groceries and restaurants but never felt like we were in the inner city.
Great vacation rental walking distance to everything
We stayed in this two-story rental for three nights with our two children, 4 and 7, and loved it. They really enjoyed that it had two stories, and we liked that it was walking distance to Alice Keck park, the "castle playground," State Street and several restaurants we enjoy. The layout of the house is really wonderful. We slept in the master suite (with hot tub deck right off it), and the two children could share an upstairs bedroom, which left the third downstairs bedroom as their play room. Every room in the house was comfortable and usable. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed.
Beautiful home close to downtown
Our family stayed here and loved it! This home is so beautifully appointed, elegant yet simple and comfortable. The backyard area is tucked away from street traffic and private. This is also where the parking is. There is happy school noise during the weekdays from the elementary school next door which didn't bother us as we came with our 4kids. The home is in close walking distance to a local park with duck pond, walking path and large playground. Also very close to downtown. There were beach towels, umbrella, and chairs for use.
The kitchen- stocked well with dishes, cooking utensils... And sharp knives! (commonly lacking in my vacation rental experience). This rental is so clean and organized! There were plenty of cleaning supplies and the home is easy to keep clean during your stay.
You will love this beautiful rental!
Classic Santa Barbara
What a beautiful classic Santa Barbara home! We couldn't have asked for a better stay in this gorgeous home! It was the perfect location as well! Walking distance to EVERYTHING! We're looking forward to another visit soon!!
The perfect family getaway!
My immediate family and I booked this Paradise Retreats location initially based on its location/centrality to downtown Santa Barbara. Boy, that did not disappoint! We were able to walk or take the excellent Santa Barbara city shuttles everywhere, which was a great break from driving for us Angelenos who needed a break from that traffic life.
The staff at Paradise Retreats made the entire booking, staying, and check out process unbelievably simple. Even afterward, when my husband realized he'd left behind a beloved article of clothing, the staff we worked with were incredibly warm and helpful in finding this item and sending it back to him.
The rooms are beautiful, and the beds are the comfiest beds ever!! The kitchen is stocked with every utensil and amenity you could possibly need. The hot tub on the top floor was super relaxing and fun with its cool lights, and the backyard fire pit was used every single night we were there as a way to unwind after our day's activities.
All in all, this was the best family vacation, and we will definitely be coming back to Paradise Retreats next summer!
