Lovely cottage in tranquil setting!
CHARMING cottage overlooking Lermond Pond. Easy access to Camden, Rockland and the mid-Coast. Enjoyed kayaking, hearing the loons call, just chilling on the deck. For fresh seafood (i.e. lobster), try Jess's in Rockland. For outdoor dining (picnic tables, lobster rolls, burgers, etc), go to McLoon's lobster shack on Spruce Island. We would DEFINITELY come back to Loon Cove Cottage!
Nice Experience All Around
We enjoyed the cottage. It is well-maintained and cared for and equipped with all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. It was just the right size for the two of us, but might be a bit too small to accommodate many more. It has a great lake view and easy access for swimming (although the float could use a longer ladder; my wife, who is short, struggled to get up to the bottom rung on the way out of the water). All in all, it was a great place to spend two weeks and we hope to return next year to do it again.
The cabin was very cute and very clean. Right on the water. Unfortunately we had a very rainy and cold time so we really did not get to experience the lake like we wanted to. The cabin had great heat and made it feel very cozy. A couple of more games (monopoly etc) would have been great but we had fun.
This is the second year that we have rented the lakeside cottage in Camden. It is a great spot, right on the lake. The area is VERY quiet and peaceful. The cabin is clean and has everything you need. Sleeps at least 6, easy to get to and close to Rockland where we went out to dinner at night. Being able to bring the dog and enjoy our time in the water with her makes this place perfect for us!, see you next year!
Very clean, adorable cottage
The cottage was exactly what we expected. It was very clean and cozy. There was plenty of room to sit and enjoy the lake, from either the deck, the screened in porch, or in the cozy living area. All the necessities were provided. The lake is very quiet, with only 1 or 2 other kayakers at a time. This made for a very relaxing vacation. The kids enjoyed swimming from the doc. There is a kayak with the house and we also brought our own. Because it is breezy there, we had no problem with mosquitos or black flies. It was enjoyable to hear the loons singing at night.
The cottage is also within close proximity to some beautiful seaside towns.
Thank you for the kind words! We are so happy you enjoyed your stay at Loon Cove Escape!
