About Nancy Lazarus
Rick and Nancy Lazarus live south of Ithaca and love Cayuga Lake and the sunsets from its east shore. This is our summer lake house, a quiet retreat.
Why Nancy Lazarus chose Lansing
The lake access and views are great, plus Bill George Road is a quiet and wooded road great for walking and bike riding. There are some houses on the lake side and a couple of small gorges. Great blue herons fly up and down the lake every day. Owls hoot at night. Rick is a timber frame barn restorer and he built this charming little house about 10 years ago.

Nice, quiet location.
Great place, not far from the pubs in Ithaca, and right on the lake. Nice quiet street, too!! Owner very nice, and kept in touch.
Sweet Lakeside Retreat
The cottage was perfect for a weekend getaway with my husband. Nancy was so pleasant. I would definitely stay again.
The sweetest little, lakefront cabin in the woods!
If you are looking for a quiet retreat, this is the place! Sitting in the woods on the East Side of Cayuga Lake, the majority of the noise you will hear, is nature! Birds sing and crickets chirp all day and the serenity is abundant! The home is loaded with amenities and we were not in need of anything. The owners were available to us 24/7 and the communication couldn't have been better! This is a great place and I would recommend it to anyone!
Great place to get away
Wife and I needed a break. Booked this for weekend getaway. Worth it. No tv, peace and tranquility. Brought our supplies and used grill to cook meals. Went to Ithaca, stopped at wineries. Place was cozy and comfortable for both of us to stay. Thanks Nancy for sharing your home with us.
It was beautiful!
Cozy little cabin by the lake...
Finger Lakes Rustic Getaway
The cabin was just as charming as the pictures showed! The yard was great with many spaces to sit outside, eat, grill, and enjoy the lake.
Swim, kayak, bike, walk, dine and relax on the decks and dock. Drive 15-20 minutes to Ithaca, home of Cornell University, Moosewood and many other great restaurants, the Farmers Market, Sapsucker Woods/Cornell Ornithology Lab, Johnson Art Museum, Ithaca College, and good cinema, theater, and music. Our stunningly beautiful area has gorges and waterfalls, parks, bird and animal sanctuaries, wineries and vineyards, breweries, Watkins Glen, the Corning Glass Museum, and the other ten Finger Lakes. Niagara Falls is 2½ hours away and Cooperstown is a 2-hour drive.
Tastings aren’t limited to wines. Besides the Cayuga Lake, Seneca Lake, Keuka, and Canandaigua Wine Trails, there’s the Finger Lakes Cheese Trail, the Finger Lakes Beer Trail, plus tastings of distilled spirits, cider, and juices along the way…and a multitude of good restaurants.
