Relax, explore and reconnect!

After 27 years in the Canadian Army, 3 tours in Afghanistan and Croatia and a 3 year at Peterson AFB working for NORAD, it was time to slow down and enjoy life and what Colorado has to offer. Could not think of a better place than Manitou Springs with all the fantastic outdoor venues as well as this historic boarding house that has been an exciting and artistic project to restore in the last 3 years.
Suzanne purchased this House in 2011
Why Suzanne chose Manitou Springs
Yes! Like many others, I fell in love with Manitou Springs. I feel incredibly fortunate to have created a mountain heaven that allows me to indulge in all the activities I enjoy on a regular basis, including hiking up the Incline or Barr Trail, mountain biking at Red Rock Canyon, cycling loops around the Garden of the Gods or taking a stroll in downtown Manitou Springs and enjoying the art community and the great food of our local restaurants.
What makes this House unique
The house is the best place for people watching as hikers and runners make their way up Pikes Peak and the Incline. It is also the ideal place if you want to hike up the many trails around the house, take the COG train to the top of Pikes Peak or avoid the traffic and take the free shuttle to downtown Manitou and enjoy the various eateries and shops.

We had a fabulous stay! The house was exactly as described. It was beautiful and clean! Suzanne was very communicative, check-in/check-out was seamless. The house was stocked with anything that you could need. She also left my kids small gifts and chocolates in each room! We'll definitely stay again.
Great anniversary celebration property!
We spent 2 days at this property with our friends to celebrate our wedding anniversaries. It was perfect. We wanted to do the incline and we were steps away from the start. When we completed the incline we were able to come back and relax on the porch. All of the amenities were perfect!! Thank you Suzanne for sharing your house!
Wedding at The Gardens of the Gods
The beautiful renovated historical home was a perfect location for our family to enjoy our brief stay while attending a dear friends wedding at the Gardens of the Gods.
We had an awesome time. The house was beautiful and was exactly as described. Great location. Anything you would have needed was at the house. Suzanne has thought of every thing. Loved sitting on the front balcony in the morning and afternoon. We plan to stay there again next year. Shuttle to downtown Manitou was sooo helpful. Liked that there was a trail head across the street from the house. I could go on and on.
The property was great. We had 6 couples stay and we all managed perfectly.
Even 2 bathrooms worked out fine.
There’s room for 5 cars, not that you need them once you hop the free shuttle.
We had lots of fun puttering about town.
If you’re an early riser, the sunrise off the front porch is spectacular.
Thank you Kim for the review. I would suggest that you be accurate during your booking and indicate how many people you actually have in your group. You indicated that you only had 6. Had I know I would have not accepted your reservation as I am only insured for 9 people. It is also difficult to do the laundry for 12 people when you have a new group arriving a few hours later. We were still doing laundry when the next group arrived.
The only reason that I did not penalize you on the review is that you had started the laundry and completed the check-out items.
The perfect weekend
Beautiful home, great location; could not think of a single thing we would have liked to have had....this home had it all!
Thank you. It was a pleasure to have you as guests over the Pikes Peak Marathon week-end.
Located at the base of Pikes Peak, steps away from the COG Railway, the Incline and Barr Trail.
