Sad to leave
We absolutely loved the house. Kids loved their rooms downstairs with their own living space. Kayaks were a bonus.
Wonderful and quiet stay!
Great location with beautiful views. Easy access to the water and to town. Comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen. Plenty of bath towels. Air conditioning kept the house cool during a very hot week. Owners were very responsive to emails prior to our stay. Had a great week!
Our family enjoyed our very first lake vacation. Jean and Marie could not have been nicer. Their cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed for a wonderful, relaxing stay. The area is pristine for just about anything you want to do : hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, fishing, or just kicking back and taking in the amazing views that surround the cottage! We took a trip to Montreal only 2 hours away.
Thank you Jean and Marie for a wonderful memory.
A piece of heaven
Wonderful get away
The home was clean and well kept. Everything was as the owners had specified.
Great property, house was everything we needed for a bunch of guys ice fishing. Owner was very accommodating and easy to work with.
Nice house with great lake view
We stayed here over Christmas to ski at Jay Peak but stay in Newport - a nice little VT town with a bunch of good restaurants. In general, we had a great time in the house. The house was quite nice and the owner even decorated it for Christmas, which made us feel quite welcome. It was difficult to find the house, since it it located at the end of one of those little Vermont lakeside cabin roads. There is parking for two cars, but no more! The house is well appointed, but we were surprised that we couldn't find a cookie sheet to make the cookie mix that the owner left for us!
We are happy that you appreciated the house. Sorry for the problem you had to locate the house. I will make it more clear in the instruction file I gave, Note that it is well positioned on the detailed map on my listing page on the HomeAway site. Sorry for the cookie sheet. Indeed since we recently changed the oven we realize now that the cookie sheet surely went away forgotten in the drawer with the old oven that they took away. You could have used the numerous aluminum pan with parchment paper located in the pantry. Ironically it was supposed to be a big chocolate truffles box but the cleaning lady was not finding them so she put this cookie jar mix gift.
