Nice, Private Cabin
Overall my group and I had a great time. Phyllis was easy to contact when we had a question or needed something, and the house was close to the Shenandoah hiking destinations that we were interested in, as well as being close to Staunton for other activities. The house itself was also far enough off the main road that there was no noise from anything, and it felt very private. There were some issues with cleanliness, but Phyllis addressed those quickly
Thanks for your support of my property. My newly stained deck front and back is GREAT for cool fall eveings. Your group of 6 and dog apparently were quite comfortable. Yes, I will continue to address the cleaning concern you mentioned! Visit again!
Really loved it. Thanks so much
Thanks for your response. Fortunately, this week, my deck is being freshly stained. I will add a new refrigerator within the month. These improvements, plus some gardening, will enhance future stays. Again, thanks for choosing Treetop House!
Although house is somewhat cluttered & in need of some TLC repairs, stay was pleasant.
very comfortable house with beautiful location. I stayed there for my daughter's graduation and the price was less than a weekend at a hotel. All the hotels tripled their price, but Phyllis did not.
Thanks so much for your kind remarks. I am dedicated to providing wonderful lodging at a modest price. After 4 years on Homeaway.com, my reviews reflect two things: 1) My home is not perfect, and 2) I make EVERY effort to provide restful, private comfort for my guests. Nothing about my house, except the refurbished 1924 GRAND piano, is fancy. That being said, I do not need to charge extra for well mannered pets. My home is perfect for multi-generational vacations. I am in the woods. You will encounter a bug or two. I also provide a butterfly shaped fly swatter!
Phyllis was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. The cabin is quirky and comfortable... the property is lovely. We enjoyed our visit.
Thanks for your support of my efforts!!!!!
We really enjoyed our stay here. The home owner was very friendly and helpful. Phyllis even went and purchased a hand held mixer for us! Enjoyed a couple of walks in the woods. The beds were very comfortable! Our family enjoyed singing Christmas carols around the piano! The only thing I would suggest is to have less clutter (personal items on tables/walls) and to have the freezer empty for the next person using the home. We did not feel comfortable throwing out food in freezer; therefore not much room to put our food in freezer! Would definitely use again! Thanks Phyllis for making us feel welcome!
Im so happy you had a good stay at my cozy home. Yes, my place is my home, not an impersonal rental. Thanks for giving "me" such a rave review. You are right that I need to be more mindful about freezer space. Sorry! Yes, please return :)! Regards, Phyllis
