About Maria Thi Mai and Kenyon Fink
What's on your bucket list? Reaching the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro and stepping foot in all 7 continents filled my bucket. As avid travelers, we have made the study of people, food, and cultures the thesis of our wanderlust. From cycling to surfing and from yoga to meditation, our interests are as diverse as there are cultures. We believe a successful lifestyle is about balancing work, play, and rest. This means work that is intellectually stimulating, creative, and meaningful and down time is more than sleep. We love meeting new people and introducing visitors to Portland and especially Multnomah Village. We'll be glad to share our favorite hike, restaurant, and shops with you. By working downtown Maria stays on top of the food cart and restaurant scene. To counter this appetite for good food she commutes by bike each day over Terwilliger Blvd. Portland is bike friendly (mostly). Kenyon is in charge of the garden and as a flower farmer he knows horticulture. His garden was featured recently by Janet Eastman of the Oregonian. A Great Experience!
Loved this property! This is a studio apartment just the right size for a single or a couple. It is connected to the owners house but has a very private feel. There is a beautiful garden in front and a wonderful food garden in back. The kitchenette was perfect for me (toaster oven, microwave, small fridge/freezer, and well appointed with necessary kitchen tools and utensils). The bathroom is adequate and has a shower (no tub). The owners introduced themselves and encouraged me to get in touch if I needed anything. They are very nice and accommodating. The location is fantastic for walking to town (5 mins or less), great coffee, great places to eat, book store and shops. In the other direction is a short stroll to Gabriel Park, a great family park with trails, dog park areas and sports fields/courts. I came to Portland to meet my new grandson and be the Help for my son and daughter in law. A wonderful experience! Thank you Maria and Kenyon!!
Just what we needed!
There was everything that we needed to cook and sleep and
The garden is truly peaceful, when looking out the kitchen window.
Lovely spot in a cute cozy neighborhood. Would definitely book here again!
Right outside of Portland. Nice place, very clean. They left us alone to do our own thing. The only negative thing i could say is we asked for some tickets and never got them. But i forgot to ask again.
The village is very nice and friendly. lots to do within walking distance.
Great for two
This is small- about the size of a typical hotel room- but it has everything you need for two people. There is a little kitchen with lots of counter space, but no cabinet space for food supplies. It has a nice closet for hanging clothes and a 6 drawer chest. It needs some updating but is charming! It’s an easy walk to Multnomah Village shops and restaurants. There is no washer/dryer so keep that in mind if staying for longer periods. The garden is gorgeous and was a sensory delight! We were gifted with fresh flowers which we thoroughly enjoyed. The studio was originally the master bedroom of the house and has it’s own patio entrance with a sitting area. We found getting into Portland was easy and quicker than we anticipated. There are lots of restaurants in the area to enjoy. We would happily stay here again!
Wonderful neighborhood! Beautiful gardens!
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Booked this urban sanctuary because of its proximity to our family. Multnomah is a wonderful, established neighborhood with lush gardens and the benefit of easy access to freeways. Looking forward to staying here again.
