Wanted to Love the Place, but had Safety Issues
This house needs some things to make it better. It does NOT have a driveway, so you have to park on the street. We had a weird plumbing issue one time on a day of our stay that was very frustrating. The toilet overflowed while taking a shower and flooded the floor quite a bit; the other restroom's toilet emptied all water and started making a gurgling sound about the same time. Both toilets eventually corrected themselves and we didn't have any other water issues, thankfully. Worst part is we were locked out of the house 2 of the 3 nights we were there. The first night we were able to call the after hour person and she responded quickly and was able to get us in after around 30 minutes. However, the door malfunctioned and was inoperable from the outside which meant we could not lock or unlock the front door. We went through the back door the following day, not wanting to waste our time in town. Unfortunately for us, the back door would not open when we returned late on the second night. We didn't remember to put on the back porch so we were in the dark, it was chilly and windy that night, and some of us needed to use the restroom (took over an hour)! Long story short, there are no keys for the doors and the lady had to call the maintenance guy (after talking to the owner) to break in thru a bedroom window that didn't latch right. The screens were screwed on (fire safety issue??) and were not put back on so the wind rattled them all that night and the next. Did not feel safe.
