About Richard and Nathalie
We are a professional French couple living in New York who, like you, enjoy travelling and the unusual.
Richard and Nathalie purchased this Villa in 2005
Why Richard and Nathalie chose Yelapa
When we saw the location of this house which was originally a shack we immediately fell in love with the place and decided on the spot that this would be the site of our vacation home in Mexico, a people and culture we are much drawn to. The only thing we have regretted since then is not being able to be there more often.
What makes this Villa unique
We, our guests, our friends all value the open air feeling of the house, nestled between the panoramic view ocean and the jungle of the mountain.... all in the middle of a beautiful garden

Worth the stay
Great place on the south side of the bay, very quiet and very comfortable. It is an 8 minute walk into town and a 12 minute walk to the north beach (add 3 minutes if in flip flops). Headlamps would be easier than flashlights but know that the last half of the path is not lit and can be very dark at night. Once you turn off the path it is 101 steps up to the house. This isn't bad but take that into consideration when planning. This is covered outdoors so you're with nature. No issues unless you don't like nature but then Yelapa may not be for you to start with. Beds are comfortable, everything you need is there. Pack in wine from PV along with some snacks and you'll be set!
Loved every part of Casa Coco
Thank you for taking the time to write the review . We are very glad to know that Casa Coco met your expectations...
Beautiful home, absolutely incredible view and lovely garden!.
Yelapa is a very special and unique Mexican village. It is truly divine to be where the only vehicles are a few ATV's and everyone else walks, or rides horses or mules. The house is a 10 minute walk from the village along a winding, rocky trail next to the ocean. You then climb 100 steps up through a beautiful garden and then have a most incredible view from the house!! Absolutely stunning! We all loved it! There were five of us and there was plenty of room for all. We all had a great time. Thank you.
We stayed ten days and wanted more. The house is splendid, the walk to the village charming, and the ocean views outstanding. Caretakers Felipe and Janet looked after us without being intrusive. Bring a good book. Bring a sarong.
21st Century Robinson Crusoe!
Fantastic! We just spent 12 days @ Casa Coco (family of 4 adults aged from 20 to 60) & loved it. Yelapa is an amazing little town filled with friendly people & great food. The bay is beautiful. The water & beaches are clean. There was always a wonderful breeze to cool those hot, sunny days. And the waterfront cobblestone foot (& donkey) path is something really special. Casa Coco was beyond our expectations - clean, safe, quiet, comfortable beds, big kitchen (we like to cook), great views, beautiful gardens, the friendliest & most helpful staff (we can't say enough about how great they are), and the most amazing tropical home! Casa Coco is a real gem!
Thank you so much for your very flattering review. We are very pleased indeed that you enjoyed Casa Coco and Yelapa as much as we do.....and hopefully we will have the pleasure of someday having you back....
Heaven on Earth!
Buenas tardes señor e senoritas,
I would like to thank Richard and Nathalie greatly, for agreeing to accept my family to visit their humble abode. Surely, it is a magnificent and glorious treasure!
It is a welcome delight for the sense of sight, to observe all of the manicured and obviously well-maintained natural beauty of the tropical vegetation encompassing the grounds, as well, neighbouring environment. One feels exhilaration when surveying the grandiosity and awe-inspiring view of the powerful Pacific ocean. At daybreak every morning one awakens listening to the magical harmony, song and natural elegance of the indigenous birds; Memories which are etched forever in my consciousness!
Casa Coco is an extremely attractive, beautiful and practical home, in which, to visit. Everything one needs, or requires is available. Richard and Nathalie have obviously spent much time, perhaps days, in dispensing an immense amount of creative thought designing, constructing, and equipping Casa Coco in preparation for, kindly and generously, sharing their home amongst the populace!
Philippe Sr, Philippe and Janet, the caretakers, are extremely warm, generous and accommodating; They propose and unselfishly act upon producing a wonderful and memorable experience in the minds of their guests!
I would not hesitate to visit Casa Coco again in the future! On behalf of my family and myself, I would like to warmly grant Richard, Nathalie, Philippe's Father, Philippe and Janet a grateful, appreciative and heartfelt thank you for the extremely pleasant visit!
We are very glad that you enjoyed your vacation in Yelapa at Casa Coco...and thank you, Christopher for taking the time to write a review....much appreciated!
