Aunt Stella's house was built in the early 1900's. The house has been upgraded with a modern kitchen and modern bathrooms. Aunt Stella's house is located in the heart of Hamilton, GA. Hamilton is located 10 miles from Callaway Gardens and 30 minutes from Ft. Moore with easy access to the interstate. Hamilton is 20 minutes from Lake Harding where you enjoy boating and fishing, if you have your own boat. The famous Man O' War trail is just steps from the front porch of Aunt Stella's house. The Man 0' War trail is a 13.4 mile trail that is paved from Pine Mountain to Hamilton with future plans for the trail to extend to Columbus, GA.. You can ride bikes or walk the trail. You can ride a bike to Pine Mountain and enjoy dining and shopping. You can enjoy a glass of wine on the large front porch and watch the bikers and walkers go by on the trail. Aunt Stella's house has original heart of pine floors throughout and high ceilings.

The house is located 5 miles from FDR park where you can hike the many trails of Pine Mountain. You can ride you bike to have lunch at Callaway Gardens Country Kitchen on top of Pine Mountain.

If you enjoy the outdoors, you can build a fire in the firepit located in the large outdoor living area. The outdoor living area includes a firepit, outdoor sink, gas grill (no propane tank) and a jacuzzi. Lots of room for entertaining which includes a tablet outside that seats six, a dining room table that seats eight and a kitchen island that can seat four people. Great for entertaining a large family.

If you have friends or family that you would like to vacation with and our house does not accommodate your large family, you can rent the place next to Aunt Stella's house and it is located on the same property. It is called Aunt Stella's Cottage. We will offer Aunt Stella's Cottage at a discounted rated if you are renting Aunt Stella's house. Cute House

We thought the house was really cute. The bathroom situation wasn't ideal for 6 women. The second bathroom has a shower but wasn't very functional for more than general bathroom use.. The over cleanliness could use some work, I spent an hour cleaning the fridge (minus the freezer section) and wiping down the kitchen before we were comfortable using it. Upsides, there is a great outside patio area and really nice walking trail just down from the city center. All in all we had a great stay and would stay here again.
