North Wildwood is the most family friendly location on the entire island. It pleases children and parents - and even grandparents! Clean, quiet, and safe neighborhoods - these new construction buildings are surrounded by older, well-kept homes.

North Wildwood has the largest year round population of any town on the island, and this makes a difference in the quality and quantity of restaurants.

North Wildwood may be divided into three sections:

The southern end of North Wildwood is the section that runs along the boardwalk, from 16th Ave. to 26th Ave. For families with children, this “North Wildwood Boardwalk Section” is the preferred location. You are close to all of the action - but not too TOO close, so that the noise or the lights will disturb your peaceful, relaxing vacation or a good night's sleep. This area of the boardwalk (above 25th Ave.) is quieter than the rest of North Wildwood. You are north of all the ride piers here, which cuts down on foot traffic. It's a good place to take a leisurely walk, have something to eat, play some games, do some shopping, and look at the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.

The center section of North Wildwood does not have a boardwalk - this is the section from 8th Ave. to 16th Ave. There is a beautiful walking path along the beach instead. Ride bikes, roller blade, walk the dog, jog – you will find people doing all these things along the beach path all day and night. There are fewer commercial buildings in this section of town, and the largest concentration of high rise luxury hotels and motels. The beaches are shorter here than in Wildwood or Wildwood Crest. It's not such a long walk across the sand to get to the water. Senior citizens and families with young children will appreciate this.

The northern end of North Wildwood is home to many fine restaurants and terrific night life. This area runs from 8th Ave. on north to the point and the area called Anglesea. This is the center of the Irish Weekend festivities and is commonly referred to as 'The Entertainment District'. The views from the point are beautiful, and the beaches - spectacular. If you have never taken a walk along the North Wildwood seawall you are in for a treat! Do not miss this! It is literally indescribable to see the beauty of the ocean and wetlands, along with a sunrise or sunset.

Here are some other activities and attractions that the Wildwoods are famous for:

Amusement parks, water parks, basketball, biking, skateboard park, boating, Fox Park, outdoor concerts at gazebos, casinos, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, golf, jet skiing, parasailing, miniature golf, arcades, night life, outlet malls, sailing, boardwalk shopping, sunset cruises, surfing, swimming, tennis, water skiing, whale and dolphin watching,

wild life viewing, wind surfing, zoos and aquariums, etc., etc.
