Charming Cottage Set Among Beautifully Landscaped Gardens And Close To the UO

Charming mother-in-law cottage in the historic Whiteaker neighborhood. Nestled in a lovely private flower garden, the Cottage provides a serene retreat and is centrally located among the best restaurants, breweries and wineries in Eugene.

My goal is to make your visit to Eugene an enjoyable one, providing you with a restful, serene and secure home away from home. Nestled in a lush and colorful garden, the cottage provides a private and quiet retreat. Tall ceilings and windows in every room fill this 450 sq foot charming cottage with light and a sense of spaciousness.

The bedroom features a mahogany queen size sleigh bed with a pillow top mattress, luxury linens and a down comforter. The view from the bedroom sofa seat looks out onto the flower garden and private fenced yard.

There is a living area with seating for two, suede sitting bench, and a HDTV with established ROKU and Netflix accounts for streaming TV and movies. Additionally there is a HDMI cord for guests to stream movies or shows from a laptop. Relax and unwind in this quaint setting that includes a writer's desk and a fully-stocked kitchen. Everything you need to create a gourmet meal can be found in the kitchen.

Garden settings and nooks surround the cottage, provide a tranquil and beautiful outdoor space to enjoy. There is a Craftsman rental home on the property, and there is substantial privacy between the home and cottage. If you are looking to host family or friends for a special event or holiday, both the house and cottage may be rented together.

The house and cottage are located behind a tall fence with mature trees and vegetation, creating a sense of privacy from an active neighborhood. The cottage is located behind the main property. Walking around the right of the main house, you'll arrive at the cottage.

The property is centrally located in the heart of the historic Whiteaker neighborhood, providing easy access to the best restaurants, breweries, wineries and music venues. The thriving urban Whiteaker neighborhood, Willamette River and upscale 5th Street Market are within a 2-10 minute walk from the cottage.

Named for Oregon's first Governor, the historic Whiteaker is considered Eugene's most eclectic neighborhood. Entrepreneurs have established popular venues in this neighborhood to share their culinary, musical, brewing and wine making talents. Most recently, the Whiteaker has become identified as Eugene's brewery district. Several craft breweries, including Ninkasi, Hop Valley, Oakshire and Falling Sky are located within a few blocks of one another. Recently earning accolades from Esquire magazine as one of America's best bars, Sam Bond's Garage is an iconic night spot showcasing regional musicians on an almost-nightly basis.

A mix of commercial and residential structures, enjoy the serenity of the cottage or walk in any direction from the cottage to enjoy this up and coming eccentric historic district of Eugene!

The gorgeous Willamette River is only a few blocks away and easily accessed by walking 10 minutes north of the cottage. Enjoy an evening stroll along the Willamette River or go for a run, bicycle ride or walk along this gorgeous river that runs through the town of Eugene.

Charming cottage is indeed charming

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying in the cottage. It was sweet, had everything we needed, including coffee and several ways to make it. Bed was very comfy and the yard was a pleasure, filled with beautiful flowers and places to sit and enjoy reading and even watching hummingbirds. We loved walking in the creative whimsical neighborhood and there were plenty of choices of restaurants to eat at and music to listen to as well. Would love to stay on our next visit to Eugene.

Charming Cottage

  • 5 of 5

As advertised, a neat little place tucked away in the heart of the Whiteaker neighborhood. Nicely furnished and accommodated. Perfect for one or two adults wanting privacy and convenient access to the heart of Eugene. Would definitely stay here again. The property manager was very easy to deal with. Thanks Eve!

Cute garden cottage in fun neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay at Eve's cottage. She is as very accommodating and pleasant. Having our coffee in the morning and dinner in the evening out in the garden was a real treat.

Charming Cottage indeed!

  • 5 of 5

This property was indeed charming and was a perfect space for the two of us. Very comfortable and cozy. The small kitchen was great, and had everything we needed. A grocery store and several good restaurants were within walking distance. The garden was beautiful and the location couldn't be beat. Eve was easy to communicate with, meaning logistics were a breeze. We highly recommend this property!

Cozy cottage in an excellent location

  • 5 of 5

While the cottage is small, it had everything we needed. The private back yard was a nice extension to the indoor space, although we didn't have much time to enjoy it due to all that Eugene had to offer along with the UofO commencement activities. This property is located near many dining options and the instruction binder had great suggestions in that regard as well.
