We enjoyed our holiday week in Siesta Key. We gathered the whole family from various locations and met there. It was a good meeting place for kids and adults of all ages. The house was comfortable, clean, and in a wonderful location. It had everything we needed.
Only two wash clothes in house ( we bought/donated more); kitchen lacked a few tools. Otherwise, all was as advertised, beautiful home in convenient location, owner/agent very cooperative and easy to work with. Too large for my family but otherwise likely to stay again.
Our family has been coming down to Siesta Key for more than 18 years and we all agreed it was the best place we have rented. Sammy and John were great about any questions, the home is well stocked and makes you feel welcome. Plenty of beach towels and the kids loved the pool. We have a new favorite in Seista Key.
Thanks Eric, glad you enjoyed the house and your week in Siesta Key. See you next year.
The house is wonderful and well appointed, comfortable and plenty big enough for a large group. If pressed to state improvements, the mattress in the master bedroom is terribly uncomfortable as well as it’s pillows. Also, the owners/management insist the thermostat remain at a temperature no less tha 73 degrees to prevent freezing up the unit or incur a 100$ fine. Had this been known prior to our arrival, it may have been a deal breaker as 2/3 rds of our group where in full blown menopause 😩
Had a wonderful time!
Penny, thanks for comments, we will take a look at the mattress and pillows, have not heard anything about that before.
As for the AC, we have found that in the past that below 72 the unit has a tendency to freeze up and that creates other issues so we ask the guest keep at 73 to prevent that.
Again, thanks for your comments and the fact that it was a great trip.
We really enjoyed staying in this house. It was very clean, had everything we needed for a week long vacation - beach towels, beach chairs, well-equipped kitchen, etc. The pool was very nice and it was only a short walk to the beach. Also close to downtown shops and restaurants. Great place!!!
Fantastic location near town and beach!
We (3 adults and 2 children) just returned from a great one-week stay at this property. The house is located a short walk from Siesta Key Village as well as the Siesta Key beach. Close proximity to the beach means that you can consider leaving your car at the house if you choose to go to the main Public Beach, with its eating, playground and other facilities. Access to the beach (without facilities) is even closer.
The house is nicely appointed, with comfortable furniture and beds and all the amenities that one could need on vacation.
The balconies on the back of the house are a great place to hang out. We greatly enjoyed the pool area with our small children.
We have stayed at a number of VRBO properties; this was the cleanest and best maintained that we have visited. There are a number of personal touches that are added by the cleaning staff that let you know that extra care has been taken in prepping the house for your visit. Each of the 3 bathrooms are nicely done.
As noted above, walking to the Village is also a breeze.
We did Publix delivery through Instacart and recommend it highly.
Other local spots we enjoyed were Sun Garden Cafe for breakfast and lunch, Lelu for coffee, Local Bean for smoothies and breakfast sandwiches, Flavios for Italian and pizza, The Hub for drinks and local scene, Clayton's Siesta Grill, and the Organic Gelato shop. The Saturday Public market is also worth a visit.
Sarasota offers visitors an eclectic blend of culture and fine dining, circus thrills and pristine beaches, and a wide array of shopping opportunities.
