Bedrooms 4
Space 2,000 sq ft
Property type cabin
Minimum Stay 6 nights

About the property

4 Br's, 2 Baths,

This house is located on one acre of land. It has a beautiful lake view with 375 feet of lake frontage including a beach. Vacations here can be quiet due to the lack of lake activity in the summer. It will feel like you are here by yourself because of the woods on either side sheltering the house from the neighbors. The bedrooms are configured as follows: 1 bedroom has a king size bed, 1 bedroom has a queen size; two bedrooms have twin beds. Eight people can easily be accommodated. We could even set up a one-person portable cot in one of the bedrooms with the twins which might aid some families with young kids. There is a very comfortable porch that wraps around the north and east sides of the house. The gas grill is located on this porch. There are 2 kayaks and a paddle boat available. The entrance to the water does not drop suddenly drop off, it is very gradual allowing youngsters to play in the shallow portion without fear of getting over their heads quickly. A standby generator provides automatic power in the unlikely event of a power outage. The entire house is Wifi enabled with cable and netflix available. About Dick Conant

Dick and Bev purchased this property in 2001 for a summer retreat from the hot confines of Texas. They loved it so much they decided to move here and live permanently year round. So the house and the property isn't just rental property .. it's their house that they personally live in 10 months each year. They rent out only in July and August.

Lake Belleau Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We spent 6 days at this delightful property. We wanted a house with 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and this turned out to be the perfect choice. When we arrived there was a welcoming letter from the owners and a tray of homemade cookies, lemonade in the refrigerator and a basket of s'more supplies! The house is charming and spacious, with a wonderful covered deck that has a gorgeous view of the lake and private sand beach. We spent everyday down at the beach and used the paddle boat and kayaks. There is also a picnic table, fire pit and covered glider by the water. My granddaughters ages 4 & 6 loved the beach and the flat back yard to play. The long driveway was great for chalk drawing and riding their scooters. The lake is also very quite and peaceful. The sunsets were amazing too. We would definitely return again to this lovely setting.

Owner's Response: I can remember your questions about whether the lake would be adequate for very young children or would there be a big drop-off that would necessitate you choosing to access the lake elsewhere. That issue was definitely settled and I'm quite pleased that you stayed right there and didn't feel to go anywhere else. It was such a pleasure having your wonderful family as guests this summer.

A great family getaway!

  • 4 of 5

Thank you Dick and Bev for the use of your wonderful home! It is warm and welcoming! It was a nice surprise to find homemade cookies waiting for us! They were delicious! The sandy beach with gently sloping lake entry were perfect for our two grandsons! Plenty of room for all eight of us with room to spare for our lab! The house was clean and the beds very comfortable! We shared multiple meals on the deck overlooking the lake! The sunsets were stunning! Thank you again for the wonderful stay on Lake Belleau!

Owner's Response: The sunsets are amazing and it's so nice to see the beams of remaining sun sparkle over the top of the water in the evening. Dick & Bev

Great family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The pictures of the lake do not do it justice. Very relaxing time at the house and lake. We stayed with our adult children a six year old and a baby and everyone enjoyed themselves. The property had everything you need.

We plan on renting the same house again next year.

Dick and Bev were great! Loved the kayaks and paddle boat! The water was perfect (sandy and pretty warm) for the kids to swim in. We found lots to do (Lost River, Story Time, North Conway, climbing mountains) and great fresh food nearby. The kids also had a great time biking up and down the driveway. Clean house, can't wait to come again!

Great Lake Front Rental

  • 4 of 5

I just spent a week with my sons and family. When we arrived the owners had left some delicious homemade cookies & lemonade which is a nice touch. It was a great set up for all of us especially my grandchildren ranging in ages from 1-5 yrs old. The water front was so enjoyable cause the kids could run in & out of the water and swim without worrying about a quick drop off. It is a lovely, quiet lake and we enjoyed kayaking/sailing. The house was comfortable & clean. The porch was great to sit and read on and still watch the activity by the water. There is a lower level room with a TV where the kids could watch cartoons for some "down" time. In the evening, we would sit by the water, watch the sunset and make s'mores. There is a convenience store near by to get some groceries-milk etc and a Hannafords not too far away. This was the exact vacation we were hoping for and definitely will consider again and would recommend to others
