About the space:
Remodeled from top to bottom, Lakeview Landing offers a stylish, sophisticated, comfortable, and clean stay. Full of unique, handmade, one of a kind, furniture items. Always cleaned from top to bottom and always re-stocked with everything you need to feel at home.

Bedrooms 1 & 2:
Both bedrooms have brand new (2024), queen, memory foam mattresses for a comfortable, good nights sleep. Oversized duvets provide a luxurious feel and assure no cover hogging! New sound machines in each room provide soothing background noise to help you sleep! Remote controlled ceiling fans and blackout curtains found in both rooms! Plenty of USB/outlets to recharge your devices. Hang your clothes in our closets. Stay a while.

Living room/Extra sleeping:
-Snuggle on the chaise lounge portion of the couch and enjoy a movie or show. Roku TV.
-Couch transitions into a pull out sofa bed for an additional sleep area.
-Aerobed Queen sized air mattress provided. Has a primary pump that lets you choose a soft, medium, or firm setting. Secondary built-in pump silently maintains desired firmness throughout the night.

For the Little Ones: we’ve got a pack n play ready. Sheets provided!

Kitchen:
-Beautifully decorated and fully stocked with everything you need to make meals.
-Coffee bar located off the kitchen with everything you need to get your morning started! Wide selection of k-cups, creamers, sugars, and hot teas.

Bathroom:
-The stylish bathroom is stocked with fresh towels and anything you may have forgotten during your travels.
-Shower/tub combo with detachable shower wand.

Laundry room:
Full-sized washer and dryer for any laundry needs! Laundry detergent provided!

Seasons:
A.) Winter: Walk to ice fish, bring your snowmobiles, head to the Cross-Country ski headquarters, and so much more! Ice skate at the end of the road ice skating rink!

B.) Summer: After coming in off the lake, kick back in the comfortable living room or lounge in the back or side yard. Grab a seat around the fire pit and make some S'mores! Play pickle ball or tennis at the road end courts.

Guest access
1.) Access to the entire house and property is yours. The only exception is no access to one locked, small closet (cleaning supplies) and one, locked, tan shed.
2.) Find Lakeview Landing nestled in a quiet neighborhood among other cottages and houses on the East side of Houghton Lake, MI.

⭐️ Lot - property has a DOUBLE LOT, which allows for extra room and privacy from neighbors.
⭐️ Lake Access - house is 600 feet from the water via the public, road-end, launch (for non-motorized boats). **Dock put in around Memorial Day and pulled after Labor Day!
⭐️ The Road End Lake Access - can be used for swimming, kayaking, or paddleboarding. 🛶 🏊‍♀️ At the road end, you will find easy access via a shallow shoreline with white sandy bottoms that extend out into Houghton Lake.
⭐️ ICE fishing and Snowmobiling - walk or snowmobile to the road end! Here, you will find easy access to Houghton Lake for ice fishing and snowmobiling!
⭐️ Ice Skating - located at the OLD Markey Township hall (end of road). Ice skating rink! FREE public use!
⭐️ Public Boat Launch - 1 mile away! 🚤
***We also offer a location to dock your boat during your stay (8-miles away) if you don't want to launch daily(see OTHER detail section below).
⭐️ Spikehorn Restaurant - located at the end of the road, within walking distance, is one of the best restaurants/pubs in Houghton Lake. 🥘
⭐️ Truman Gardner Park - a lovely park at the end of the street that offers a children's playground, tennis courts 🎾, pickleball, and picnic areas. 🧺
⭐️ Higgins Lake South State Park - 🏖️ is another great location for 🏊 swimming and is just a few miles away!
⭐️ Day Trips - many awesome day trip locations nearby also (Traverse City, Sleepy Bear Dunes, Mackinac Island, and more)!

Other things to note
***We offer a location to dock your boat free of charge if you don't want to launch daily. It's a short, 8 mile drive from Lakeview Landing. The docking location is located off the North West portion of Houghton Lake. It's just down the river a short jaunt (less than 1/2 mile) from The North Shore Lounge/Bar and the Houghton Lake Marina & Power.

Rules:
1.) Please help keep our home clean by removing shoes when entering!
2.) No smoking ANYTHING or vaping inside or around the property. (ONLY allowed at the outdoor fire pit area--butts to be thrown away and not in yard). Any evidence of smoking or vaping anywhere else on our property will result in $250 FEE and/or termination of reservation.
3.) No parties or events!
4.) NO Pets
5.) Quiet hours from 10:00pm-8:00am.
**Please NO fireworks are allowed to protect surrounding property and to eliminate noise complaints. ($500 FEE)
6.) Access to paddle boards and kayaks will only be granted once liability waiver is signed.
7.) All guests MUST be registered on your itinerary.
8.) House is limited to 6 guests (INCLUDING CHILDREN). This means people BROUGHT to and staying at the property.
-We do have security cameras outside of the house. We reserve the right to terminate your stay without a refund if you exceed the maximum occupancy OR the amount registered on your itinerary.
**Video Surveillance cameras monitor the exterior of the home (front door and equipment shed). Footage remains private and may be used for liability reasons and to monitor occupancy and other polices noted here. It in no way infringes upon the expectation of privacy in these public areas. To disable or obscure the cameras is prohibited and may result in eviction without refund.
9.) Must be age 25+ to rent (and that person making the booking must be present during the stay)!
10.) Valid ID required to reserve the property. Identity must be verified with AirBNB.
***We reserve the right to terminate your stay without a refund for violation of any of these rules.
