We had a great time, but wish we would have know there was no A/C. The house and property are absolutely beautiful! Thank you for letting us stay!!
Read before renting! :)
This is a GREAT property but can only be easily accessed by a 4x4 or high clearance vehicle, as the driveway is very long, sandy and there are 2 crazy steep hills. Checking in was a little difficult because of unforeseen problems, but I believe that’s mostly fault of the apps design as contacting the host the day of isn’t always possible. After receiving the door code it was smooth sailing though! The listing is kind of confusing when it comes to the bed situation so to clarify: there is a queen in one bedroom, a bunk with a full on the bottom and twin on top in the second bedroom and there are air mattresses and fans supplied in the closets. The rental does not have AC, but it is so high up on a hill with so many trees that the air flows pretty well and they are not needed. There is also a fire pit in the backyard. Overall a very pleasant stay - the cabin is very clean and well stocked with anything you could think of! 20 minutes from Torch Lake and a half hour to Traverse City!
Very nice place! Quiet and peaceful. Kids loved the cabin and making s'mores every night. Lots of wildlife in the area too. It's a long drive off the road and we saw something different everytime we drove back. Deer, cranes, turkeys and a bear.
Summer Get Away
Very secluded property, takes about 4 minutes to get up/down the driveway, could be a problem for someone not familiar with how to drive an off road track, 4 wheel drive is helpful. If you are coming from M72 it will be a 10 minute drive before you reach the driveway entrance. Property would be beautiful in the fall. Only complaint, which is a small one, no gift bag was present for when we arrived, otherwise enjoyed our stay.
Great place to stay and enjoy nature.
This cabin is located at the top of a hill. Very nice cabin and was very clean. Enjoyed our stay. Driveway is a bit of a challenge but had a Jeep so was not an issue.
Great place to stay. Very private, clean and comfortable!
Wilderness setting with thousands of acres of state land to enjoy plus enjoy a free boat slip on the Torch River which gives you access to Torch Lake. The fall colors are truly magnificent from the quality built cabin. The local activities include hiking, hunting, mountain biking, snowmobiling with access to trails very nearby, photography, gambling, and of course, all the water sports Torch Lake has to offer.
