About Paul Sylvia
Paul was born and raised, in his early childhood, in Jamestown. He later moved and has continued to return to visit family and friends. The home has been in the family for many years being handed down generation after generation. It was his goal a few years ago to remodel the 2nd floor unit and continue the tradition of returning to the home each summer with his family and just recently began to offer it available to friends and other guest. Paul and Kimberly enjoy returning each year to the quiet historic town to visit the many fine restaurants, bakeries, shops in the area. They also enjoy hiking trails, kayaking, fishing, sailing, golf and relaxing at the local beaches. In addition to the many things to do close by, they sometimes take road trips to nearby Boston and New York City. The owners are confident you will enjoy the accommodations and the beautiful town of Jamestown. Please feel free to contact Paul regarding any questions you may have and we look forward to you staying in our home away from home in one of the best kept secrets of New England, Jamestown, RI.
Why Paul Sylvia chose Jamestown
Our vacation rental recently had a complete remodel with all new furnishings and kitchen. This property is also in the best location close to the town center (Village) and walking distance to playground, shopping, Jamestown Ferry, and all of the restaurants in the village. A Cumberland Farms convenience store is located less than 400 feet away from the unit to pick up items during your stay. The unit is within 2-3 miles to two of the most beautiful State Parks you will find in the state of Rhode Island and possibly in New England.
What makes this Apartment unique
Our central location in New England to New York City, Boston and Cape Cod is a huge plus. All three locations make a drivable day trip.

A comfortable, well located spot!
We enjoyed our stay at Paul's place. The beds were extremely comfortable, there were lots of amenities for our stay, and the location of his home is ideal for walking into town. Paul was also very helpful with recommendations in the area and was available for anything we needed. Would stay again!
Walk to everything
This apartment had everything. We wanted in-town location, walking distance to everything. Had all the amenities plus small details covered. Skate park was a nice surprise to my 10 year old grandson. Will go back next year, God willing.
Thanks for staying with Village 59! We hope to see you as one of our regular guests. Safe travels. -Paul

Thanks for the excellent review! Hope you can visit Jamestown again sometime for some sailing, winery tours, see more mansions, cliff walk, hiking, picnicking the state parks observing the natural beauty of the island or just relaxing. We hope you get the opportunity to visit again. Thank you for choosing our place for your stay.
working review
Jamestown is an easy location to communicate back to Newport where we were exhibiting at the recent boat show. The owner Paul had touch based shortly after I made the reservations and was very helpful of giving information needed for us to get around and purchase grociers and some planning some evening restaurants. The apartment was great, clean and very quiet. Beds were very comfortable. I would rat a 5/5 for our stay.
Thanks! We look forward to hosting you again anytime you return to the Newport/Jamestown area.
Comfortable apartment in good location
The apartment was attractive and neat, with everything we needed. We could have used another lamp in the bedroom for reading at night, but other than that, it was perfect. Great location for walking into town and getting to beach at Mackeral Cove. The owner’s map on the refrigerator led us to spots we were glad we hadn’t missed. Jamestown is a lot of fun. Very relaxed.
Thanks for staying at Jamestown Village 59! You both are welcome to come back anytime so you can enjoy more of the areas vineyards, sailing trips, beaches, and restaurants. I really appreciated meeting you both and look forward to hearing from you the next time you would like to visit Jamestown. Thanks again! Paul

Just a short walk away you will find shopping and many varieties of restaurants. We also have a Cumberland Farms convenience store and a grocery store within a few blocks away. Convenience store with fuel less than one block, public library with playground one block away. This area is loaded with things to do in the immediate surrounding area since we are downtown. The island has amazing views from the southern end of the island where you will find one of the oldest lighthouses in the United States Beavertail Lighthouse approximately 3 miles away. Tanning on the rocks at Beavertail State Park during the summer months or just sitting there listening to the surf crash against the rocks is so relaxing for the soul. Tour the mansions of Newport or a winery tour in Middletown at Newport Vineyards, Sweetberry Farm to pick fresh fruit from the farm, walk downtown into the village to enjoy the small shops or fine restaurants. Kayak, snorkle, scuba from Fort Wetheral. Our rental is just a short drive to Boston or the Cape with this great centrally located unit. These are just a few things to do in the area. If you would like help planning your trip to Jamestown we will be glad to help!
