1998 custom built 3 bedroom 2 bath vacation home.
About Steve Olson
I like to travel, meet new people and make new friends. I like to ski, hike and play tennis and walk the Michigan Beaches in search of collectible stones and beach glass. I love to travel and have studied, lived and worked in many places in the U.S., the UK and Australia.
Steve Olson purchased this House in 1996
Why Steve Olson chose South Haven
This property provides a great access point to the Michigan Lakeshore and everything it has to offer including beaches, dining and summer events in South Haven and Saugatuck in a comfortable setting. The home has large windows throughout and is very bright inside during the daytime. The back deck has a comfortable reclining deck chair and a round iron table with chairs and an umbrella. We have a large back yard with a fire pit and benches, so if you want to stay at home and grill steaks, or make s'mores this is an excellent place.
What makes this House unique
This is a clean and comfortable three bedroom two bath custom built house near the Village of Glenn between Saugatuck and South Haven. There are many beaches and walking trails within driving distance of the property: West Side County Park Beach (5 Minutes), Pier Cove (7 Minutes), Saugatuck's Oval Beach (15 Minutes), South Haven's South Beach (15 Minutes). The home comes equipped with a washer/dryer and a large back porch/firepit with gas grill, tables and chairs and an umbrella.

As the crow flies our place is about 6/10 mile from Lake Michigan but I do not recommend walking through the woods to get there.
It is 1.2 mile drive via 114th Avenue to the Glenn beach which has designated parking. The last part of the road is gravel as is the parking. From there there are a few steps with wide grass covered downhill path to the beach. The path is somewhat steep but fairly short from the parking spaces.
Our guests like the location for the easy access to both South Haven and Saugatuck. South Haven is about 9 miles and Saugatuck is about 11 miles. The South Haven pier and lighthouse offers much easier access and is concrete. South Haven also offers a variety of dining options, ice cream parlors, etc. Saugatuck has some great dining as well and some nice walks along the docks where you can see the yachts.
