Welcome to Off The Ridge - Boone! Our minimalist cabin is located ~6 miles from downtown Boone, Appalachian State University and Blue Ridge Parkway. This peaceful wooded retreat offers two covered decks with seasonal long-range views. Perfect location to enjoy year-round outdoor activities. Great local dining and shopping close by! Off the Ridge features 3 bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms and a recreation room. **Please note 4WD is REQUIRED if snow is predicted during your stay**

Traditional cabin featuring unfinished pine wood flooring, walls and ceilings. Recently upgraded with modern features to create an inviting, relaxing atmosphere.
- PRIMARY BEDROOM: KING bed with wardrobe, closet is not accessible to guests
- SECOND & THIRD BEDROOMS: QUEEN beds with full closets, one with dresser, one without
- KITCHEN: stocked with common spices/oils, full dinnerware set and flatware, pots/pans, mixing bowls and utensils for basic cooking
- DINING: no dedicated dining space; 4 counter stools at island, 4 TV trays, and outdoor dining table
- REC ROOM: lounging space, dart board, combination bumper pool/poker table

*PET POLICY*
Please note, the property is fairly steep and heavily wooded, no fence. Hosts must be notified about pets during booking and must agree to rules as below:
- PET FEE = $50 total (applied at booking)
- guest is responsible for any extra fees incurred due to pet-related cleaning
- pet must be healthy, up-to-date on vaccines, flea and tick free and current on prevention treatment
- pets are not allowed on furniture
- pets must be crated if alone in property (crates not provided)
- pets must be leashed when outside of the home (property is steep and unsafe for roaming and wildlife is common)
- must pick-up pet waste

**WILDLIFE**
Most commonly deer, racoons and other scavengers. Chances of encountering bats and bears are low, however not zero. If you encounter wildlife, keep a safe distance. As a general rule, remember we live in their natural habitat and they should not be disturbed.
- NEVER approach bears
- do not leave food/garbage outside or in your cars
- do not feed wildlife

Children are more than welcome to stay at Off The Ridge, but please note the property details including but not limited to: steep driveway, uneven outdoor stairs, drop offs, 2-story patio and stairs inside the house. We do not provide child safety gates for the stairs. We require that children be supervised at all times for their safety. Please share property information with any guests who plan to visit with children.

HOUSE RULES:
- QUIET HOURS: 10pm-7am
- Absolutely NO smoking of any kind (to include vaping)
- No house parties
- No candles
- Please do not flush any items other than toilet paper down the toilet (trash cans provided)
- Please do not leave trash or food outside to minimize wildlife interaction

PARKING: the driveway is VERY steep with a curve (please refer to last photo), 4WD required if any inclement weather predicted. Ok to park in driveway if accessible. Cul-de-sac at top of driveway is shared and may park there and walk down the driveway. Please do not block neighbors driveways. CAUTION: if parking at the top of the driveway, use caution if you choose to use the outdoor staircase as it is uneven and steep; would advise against if ice/snowy conditions, guest assumes these risk if choosing to use this staircase.
