Remodeled 2016! Next to Meadow. Wifi, Pool Table. Hot Tub, Fireplace, Sleeps 12

Property Details

Updated: Oct 12, 2016
5 Bedroom, 3 Bath, Hot Tub, Pool Table, WiFi, Pet Friendly

This great value five bedroom home is packed with fun features including a pool table, a hot tub, fireplace and more.

New in Fall 2016! New wood floors in all main floors, remodeled bathrooms + new bigger deck in backyard. We haven't raised rates yet so book today to lock in the old rates. Pictures coming soon!

After a day of Tahoe's great activities you will love soaking away the evening in the backyard hot tub. For those staying in, you've got your own pool room. With your own pool table, TV, table for cards and seating for four, the whole gang can join in a game of eight-ball.

The pool table has a cover so it can be converted into a large dining room for all your guests. Everyone can enjoy a family meal at this oversize table fit for a king.

With five bedrooms, room for twelve, and low rates, this house is a great value.

About the house. The house is a split level home. You enter at mid-level which is the level the kitchen and dining room are on. Down three stairs from the kitchen is the pool table room and off that room is the deck, BBQ and hot tub.

Down a half flight from the living room is one of the master bedrooms. This room has bunks in addition to a queen bed and has it's own full bath (shower, sink and toilet). Across from this room is the laundry room and garage.

Up a half-flight from the living room are the other four bedrooms. One of them is a master bedroom with it's own bathroom. The other three rooms up here share a bathroom which has double sinks to manage the crowds. Rooms are decorated in 'Tahoe Cabin' style - meaning wood furniture and wide plank walls, etc.

The house is central to everything. Walking distance to some local favorites including the best Thai restaurant (actually the best ethnic food in Tahoe) and Steamers, the always packed local sports bar which has live music, darts, and an backyard patio that's a great place to hang out.

In addition, you can walk right next door out into the Upper Truckee River and Meadow. Where trails meander through Aspens, over bridges, past swimming holes and through meadows. Great for hikes, bikes and walks.

About the Owner

We (wife and kids) live in the San Francisco Bay Area and have had this home in the family for years. I'm a big snow boarder and have built almost 20 homes in the Tahoe area, but keep this one in the family, because we love it.

We like the view, the bbq, kitchen, pool table, and coziness of the house.

We had trouble finding the place in the beginning. Apple map pointed us to Nevada.

The owner informed us that they updated the descriptions to give clearer direction for future residents. (Thank you)

We enjoyed the fishing in the Trout Farm 5 min away from the property.

Lake Tahoe

  • 3 of 5

The accommodations where nice except for the spa. The spa was unusable and for some reason they had it still running.

Owner's Response: The current tub is older, it works just not like a new one. So we have purchased a new hot tub. It will arrive in early September.

Great house for groups

  • 5 of 5

This house is perfect for groups. Lot's of bedrooms and places to hang out. Everyone loved the pool table. There is a cover and seats so it turns into a huge dining table - which we loved for group dinners. It's also walking distance to several bars and restaurants which was great in the summer.

Lots of space to sleep, need more dining space

  • 4 of 5

We were a party of 11 and the 5 kids loved the big kids room downstairs.

Everyone had a bedroom and the kitchen was clean and well-appointed. The dining space was a struggle to get everyone around which had an impact because we are a card-playing people. In the end, we opted to eat in stages.

The pool table was a big attraction for the kids though the pool sticks were all bowed and the room was just *this* much too small for getting a proper stroke in.

The gas grill in the backyard worked well, turned on easily, had lots of space for meat and veggie grilling. The backyard area though was lackluster. Would have been nice to have a little more elbow room on the deck and grass or some greenery in the back area.

The shared bathroom upstairs was very small but functional. The linens were clean and fresh.

Everyone was generally comfortable in the house and commented several times how it was nice that there were several "gathering" spaces: a few could visit in the living room, a few could be on the back porch, a few at the dining room table so everyone could visit in smaller groups.

Wifi was easy, we ran some Netflix though the DVD player didn't like our Blurays. Oh well, it's Tahoe, go outside! Thank you Danny.

Affordable for a large family, but....

  • 3 of 5

While this house had many rooms that fit our large family, staying here was a lackluster experience.

It seems the owner does minimal maintenance and the overall "wear and tear" on the house and it's amenities is high.

This house does not provide a secluded "woodsy" feel, but it is close to many desirable attractions, making it easy to explore Lake Tahoe.

Overall, it got the job done for a weekend with a large family. Would we stay here again? Eh....

From the Owner

My father bought this property back in the 1980s. We loved coming up so much that we bought it from him when he moved too far away to continue to enjoy it.
