This condo has an amazing view of the beach and it's right on the seawall! A bit North of the restaurants but it's not too far. We took the car to restaurants but we were traveling with children. Great Pool! Friendly Place! Moderately clean. Smart TV! Cute decore! For the kitchen you will need: sugar for coffee, paper towels, dish soap for the sink For the bathroom you will need: shampoo and if you are traveling with kids bring a stopper for the bathtub so that you can give them a bath
Four of us had a three day stay in Galveston in Unit 906. The unit was centrally located and very clean and had an at home feeling. The views of the ocean from the living room and bedroom were incredible. We spent lots of time on the deck enjoying the ocean view. All the staff was extremely nice and helpful. Will for sure want to stay there again any time we go to Galveston. We highly recommend a vacation stay in this condo!
Upon arrival, the front desk attendant was very pleasant and welcoming. Once we arrived to our actual unit we opened the door to a clean smell and overall clean appearance. However it was a bit warmer inside than what we had hoped and adjusted the A/C. It took it a while to bring the temp down to a comfort range for our party. The sliding glass door off the living area gave us fits the entire time of our stay. It was extremely difficult to open and close and would constantly get stuck.
The bathroom closest to the living area had problems with the hot water in the bath/shower. It was extremely hot to the point of concern of scalding my young child while bathing. It was reported so hopefully that issue will be addressed. The other bathroom, off the kitchen area had just the opposite problem with the water. It came out cold and had NO hot water at all. Needless to say, showering in either all cold or all scalding hot water was no fun. Again, the issue was reported so hopefully it will be a minor plumbing fix.
The unit itself was very clean overall and the beds slept very comfortably. The bed sheets, pillows and comforters were a good quality thread count and made for a comfortable, soft feel. The kitchen supplies lacked a little in my opinion with utensils to prepare/cook with, knives in particular. Perhaps that's a safety hazard where the owner isn't allowed to provide good quality, sharp kitchen knives. The ice maker did not work so we had to make purchases of ice our entire stay which was messy bringing back from a store, melting and dripping all the way up to our unit.
The swimming pool looked as though it had not been cleaned in a few days as there were tons of leaves and debris floating. Not a very inviting sight. Regretfully we didn't make use of the pool like we had hoped to.
Overall for our 3 nights we stayed, the unit and amenities served our purpose. Had our stay been longer, I don't think I would have been happy having to deal with the issues stated. The view couldn't have been better. We were up on the 9th floor of a 11-12 story building so we could see for miles in all directions. That part was unbeatable!
The owner we dealt with prior to making the reservation was very quick to respond to my questions and pleasant to correspond with.
