This historic home away from home has been remodeled to provide you with a fantastic lodging option that is perfect for large families and groups. Sitting on 17+ acres of pinyon and juniper desert bordering BLM land, the High Horse Inn property offers hiking, horseback riding and mountain biking opportunities right out your back door. You are within walking distance of amazing restaurants, bike shops, Wild Gals Market, and everything downtown Naturita has to offer.

The entire property consists of separate retreats, each with a full kitchen and a separate entrance. The main duplex boasts a beautifully decorated, light-filled open floor plan that seamlessly combines all living spaces into one. Discover a welcoming living area adorned with unique paintings, vintage items, and numerous books. Prepare culinary masterpieces in the well-appointed kitchen, complete with all stainless steel appliances that will make cooking a breeze. On this level, you can also find one bedroom and a beautiful bathroom with a shower and a separate soaking tub. The upper level boasts a spacious bedroom with a working desk and an en suite bathroom with a clawfoot tub.

The rest of the retreats are one-bedroom aparthotel-style lodging equipped with full kitchens, air conditioning, free WiFi, smart TVs, en suite bathrooms, and dining tables. When you book this retreat, you are also granted access to shared amenities, including a deck, a gas grill for summertime barbecues, and a volleyball court in the back.

Things to Know

This Vacasa Guestworks vacation rental is operated and managed locally by an independent host.

Prior to your arrival, you will receive local host contact information, who will manage your guest reservation. Your local host will provide in-stay support, secure entry, and arrange pre- and post-stay housekeeping services.

If you need anything during your stay, the home’s independent local host is ready to help 24/7! Guestworks is a service offering of Vacasa that allows homeowners to smoothly and efficiently manage their own properties.

If you are bringing a dog on your trip, the nightly pet fee is already included in your quote when selecting "Yes" to pets. If you would like to add more dogs, please contact us. The nightly fee ranges between $150 and $200, depending on the bedroom count, and will apply for each additional dog.

Parking notes: There is free parking available for 5 vehicles.



Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.
