MBR has King suite, private bath and balcony overlooking the ocean and breathtaking San Blas sunsets. Two Queen bedrooms have newly added decks for enjoying unobstructed bay views. Kids room has Twin/full bunk.

Smell the loamy odor of the bay side air begin to mix with the salty astringence of the sea breeze, as the mainland starts to heat up and pull the breeze in. But inside the 'Pickle' the smell of coffee is giving way to the aroma of Old Bay as the place comes to life in that lazy summer-at-the-beach way. Each morning, the most important question becomes (after lunch is resolved) should I walk or ride my bicycle to begin intensive shelling?

Family Vacation at The Cape

My family of 7 adults and 2 children absolutely enjoyed every minute of our stay in The Pickle. The house was clean and well maintained. Melodie, the owner, has excellent taste. The decor was darling! The folks at Coastal Joe's Vacation Rentals were very professional and helpful. This house is literally steps from the beach which is exactly what we were looking for. No crowds at all. We used the grill for burgers and dogs one night. For a great seafood meal, we'd recommend Dockside Marina in Port St. Joe and Triple Tails on Cape San Blas. Both are very casual dining with great service.

I can't say enough about how gorgeous this area is - the beach is breathtaking and amazing! We found many seashells during our walks. You will not be disappointed with this rental property.

Location

From the Owner

While exploring the area, we discovered San Blas. So we vacationed here 3 times Summer of 2011. We purchased our house late September and began renovation in December 2011.

Activity and Interests

This year's Sport's Illustrated swim suit edition was photographed just a 20 minute drive away in world famous Apalachicola which is known for its oysters; 4 miles to the St Joe Peninsula State Park; Tupelo (indigenous tree to this area not the city in Mississippi) honey; enjoy Scallop Season July through September
