2 bedroom, 1 bathroom with snow capped mountain views, on the Shoshone River
About Diana Marcum
Owners Diana & George live on the property and are glad to answer any questions about the area.
Diana Marcum purchased this Guest House in 1998
Why Diana Marcum chose Cody
Real cattle rustlers homesteaded this sight, hence the name "Rustler's Roost". Walk the same ground as Mountain Man John Coulter on his way to discover what is now Yellowstone National Park. This area was winter camp ground to the Shoshone Indians.
What makes this Guest House unique

Great Guest House with all we needed!
Diana was kind and courteous. The place was clean and quaint. It's over an hour to the heart of Yellowstone, but it was a great home base, and Cody was just down the road.
Perfect stay for our Yellowstone Trip
We loved staying at Diana and George's cabin. It was perfect. It has everything you could possibly need plus charm and a great view. Diana and George are so nice and helpful. There isn't anything not to like! The cabin is about 45-50 minutes from Yellowstone's East Entrance. The drive doesn't seem that long though, because it's beautiful. We hope to return again and when we do, this will be where we hope to stay.
Great Place to Relax and Rest
My wife and I loved this place. The river in the back, all the history of the place, the antique furnishings. Everything was clean and neat and everything you need is there. Don't expect all new and modern stuff, but everything is in good condition and works as it should and the view of the trees and the river from the window at the sink makes dish washing not seem like a chore.
You will see lots of animals on the drive in and out. We saw many deer and elk, The hosts are very accommodating and knowledgeable about the area and it's history.
We caught the season just right. Leaves were changing colors and falling from the trees. There was a little snow, but just enough for decoration, not enough to hinder travel, except in the highest elevations around the area.
If you are there to visit Yellowstone, be aware that it is a 65 mile drive to the east gate, but it is a very beautiful drive. There is plenty to do in the area besides just the park.
Hopefully we will be able to visit again some time in the future.
Thanks Paula and Don. Hope to see you again.
Nice, clean, cozy cabin!!
The cabin was very comfortable, nice, and clean. River behind the cabin was beautiful.
Thanks Carol! It was a pleasure having your family here. Come back when you can stay longer.

Great falling asleep to the river sounds and breezes.
The best part is being right on the river. The cabin has everything you could possibly want. Loved staying there and wish we could've stayed longer.
Thanks you two, loved having you here. Hope to see you again soon.

Loved the cabin and sitting on the deck listening to the river. Our dogs had a great time playing and had plenty of room to run. The cabin was very well stocked and Diana and George are lovely hosts. Cody WY has so much to do, we had lots of fun and hope to come back again.
Thanks folks, we enjoyed having you here too. Our dogs sure had a good time!
