About Amir zavala
We have been married for over 20 years. We have one daughter who loves animals. Our cat keep any mice in check because we have a flock of 10 egg laying hens. The cats sometime pay a visit to the cottage but they are not allowed to go in.
Amir zavala purchased this Cottage in 1930
Why Amir zavala chose Ayden
This home was saved from demolition in 2010. The railing and woodwork on the front known as gingerbread was saved from the oldest house in Ayden that burned down a few years ago. The home that burned down was from 1891 we do not know how old the wood work is only that is old.
What makes this Cottage unique
We love the sound of rain on the tin roof. We were able to reconfigure the home making it very user friendly.

Small Town Cozy Cottage
We were impressed with the attention to detail. Everything was clean and organized. Ayden is a quaint small town close to Greenville. We recommend visiting Cindirene's and taking a selfie with "Bobby Cue" - Would visit here again the next time we are down east. Mike and Jo
Great place for ECU tailgating. I will definitely come back for another game. Enjoyed the candy but left to early to enjoy the eggs. Coffee was much appreciated. Bagelman great place for bagels.
The house was perfect for our needs. Comfortable and clean with everything we needed, highly recommend!
Comfortably cozy, felt like home.
Cozy, comfortable, homey. Easy access to gas and food. Nice quiet location, close to highway. Would stay again.
I was taking advantage of it.
It took 45 minutes for the owner to respond to our phone calls to came and open the door, she claim the luck did not have good batteries, after a 8 hour drive we where tired and it was very long for her to open de door, we did not stayed the complete time we paid for and that is ok, what was not ok to be charge for your old place to be fixed in our deposit, this is very upsetting.
We are very sorry your stay did not meet expectations. We work hard to ensure guests have an enjoyable time in our home and that their time with us is a restful and pleasant experience.
In response to your review:
-We apologize for the difficulty you had with the lock. The lock was functioning fine when we opened for you. As we live nearby we were onsite to assist within minutes of you contacting us as we take special care to monitor communications from incoming guests. We chose to replace the batteries just in case. Whether it was user error or battery function the lock gave no further problems during your stay.
-your party communicated at booking that your preferred trip driving schedule made the mandated check-out time unsuitable for your needs. Two nights were booked so that your party could check-out at will..
-The charge on your deposit was for damage done during your stay. Specifially, the 30" long, 3" wide hole in our drywall found upon your departure. After cleaning and before check-in a thorough walk-through of the premise is done. This hole was not there when your party of 9 checked-in. Incoming guests on the day you left, dictated that we do a repair quickly. Your $100 damage deposit covered only a portion of our emergency repair invoice.
Great home for long-term hospital visitation
Thanks so much for making your home available to our family while we had to visit the trauma center in Greenville. The drive in and out of Greenville was very reasonable and the neighborhood was a quiet and calm place to unwind.
We live a a very classic small town America most places are a small 15 to 20 min drive.
