About the property

Apartment, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 4-6)

The Nest in the Heart of the City is a charming apartment located on the cusp of downtown, Capitol Hill, and First Hill. Up on the eleventh floor, It looks westward over the city, and down on the convention center. Nestled at the top of the trees, the afternoon light fills it with bright warmth as the sun traverses the sky.

Just steps from the Washington State Convention Center and a few blocks from the heart of downtown, the Nest is situated near Seattle's many cultural amenities. Just a stroll away, you’ll find The Paramount Theater, Act Theater, Town Hall, and countless cafes and eateries. Enjoy the Capitol Hill nightlife and all that Broadway has to offer. Even without a car, every part of the city and metropolitan area is easily accessible. Link Light Rail is a couple of blocks away, as is the extensive Metro bus lines. The apartment comes with a parking spot, so no need to worry about downtown parking, but once you arrive, leave it there for the duration of your stay! There is a $50 flat fee for parking included; if you come without a car, just let me know and I will gladly remove that fee:-)

All of the comforts of home are here to make your stay relaxing - and even romantic! After shopping at Pike Place Market, bring your produce home and cook up a delectable meal in the fully equipped kitchen. For dessert, go up to the rooftop deck and sip hot drinks as you look out over the city and Puget Sound. Soak out your woes in the beautifully tiled tub, then step out onto the warm, heated tile floor. Get a deep night’s sleep in the luxurious king bed, and gaze out across the city to Lake Union; you might never want to get up!

The master bedroom has two extra long/extra wide twin beds, which can push together into a king if desired. Twins are the default, so if you want the king bed, just let me know. The second bedroom has a queen bed, and visitors love the opening in the wall that connects the living space with the bedroom. The opening allows for panoramic views of the city and trees; close the shutters to create privacy if desired. For extra visitors, there is a queen airbed that can be set up in the living room. All the cozy beds have soft sheets with high thread-counts and luxurious down comforters.

The Nest is the perfect place for anyone who craves a healthy, green living environment. No harsh chemicals are used during cleaning, the paint is zero VOC, and there are plants all around. Rest assured you will breathe easily whether you are chemically sensitive or just desire a healthy place to lay your head.

Whether you are here for pleasure or business, you will be equipped with a lovely antique desk, wireless internet service, cable TV, and a brand new 40” flat screen HDTV with surround sound. You can stream all of your music through the sound bar using the blue tooth connection.

Come stay at The Nest and experience its natural beauty and exquisite location... in the heart of the city! I look forward to hosting you soon...

About Suzanne Greenberg

Hello guests!

My name is Suzanne, and I am a Sign Language Interpreter, Massage Therapist, adventurer, traveler, and people lover. I run two vacation rentals, one on Vashon Island (ask me about it!), and one here in the heart of Seattle. I am originally from New York, but was drawn to the beauty of the Northwest, with its mountains, water, and wilderness. I hope to share a piece of all that I love here with travelers from far and near. Looking forward to meeting you!

Suzanne Greenberg purchased this apartment in 2011

Why Suzanne Greenberg chose Central

I chose this apartment to be my 'pied a terre', or city home because I live on Vashon, but work in Seattle, so I wanted to have a place I could stay and live during the work week. The location for this condo was ideal, being next to downtown, near Capitol Hill, theaters restaurants, and the Convention Center.

What makes this apartment unique

I love being so near to the heart of the city, especially if I've been in my rural Vashon home for a stretch. I like being able to walk everywhere; go to movies, out to eat, shopping, etc, and never get in a car. I love the view from my perch, especially that I can look down and see trees and greenery planted on the convention center, as well as buildings of the city scape in the further distance, and the peek of Lake Union from the master bedroom. What a treat!

Girl's trip in Seattle

  • 5 of 5

I was looking for an apartment for 5 of us and the most important things were location and price. The Nest is absolutely perfect for what we needed. You really can't get a better deal than this in this type of location. We were 10 minutes (max) walkign distance from Pike Place Market, and right in the heart of the downtown shopping scene. There was even a secure garage that we could use which is brilliant in this part of town. The apartment itself was also great, with plenty of space and super clean. The owner even had a welcome basket waiting for us complete with some wine and seattle treats.

Cute & clean. Suzanne is a wonderful hostess!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay at Suzanne's place. Everything is so nice and neat. The kitchen is well stocked with any extras you might need and the unit has a washer and dryer, which is always helpful. The beds are super comfortable and the bathroom has been recently redone and is super nice. Suzanne herself is super awesome and great at communicating. When we did have an issue, she went above and beyond to fix it! Definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely apartment...perfect to access the city and Capital Hill.

  • 5 of 5

Suzanne was incredibly responsive to our questions and let us leave our bags there before check-in time. The apartment has a fantastic view of treetops on the convention center (hard to believe we were right in the city). Great places to eat just up the hill as well as all of downtown just down the hill. Kitchen was stocked with the basics which allowed us to cook some meals (and save some $).
