2BR 2BA Beachside Condo - Best Location 2 Blocks from Restaurants
About Karen Coleman
We are Karen and Mike and have recently purchased this condo as our dream vacation home. We live in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, and are dreaming of retirement and spending winters in Florida away from SNOW. Karen is a cardiac nurse at University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville, Virginia and Mike is a musician and already retired from construction and crane operating. We are avid UVA Baseball fans, enjoy the nearby Daytona 500, and are joyful grandparents.

Why Karen Coleman chose New Smyrna Beach
We were drawn to this quiet, laid back beach town and have enjoyed staying and visiting here and in the area over the years. Our favorite restaurant in the world is located at the end of the beach, J.B. Hunt and Fish Camp.
What makes this Condo unique
The top 4 things we love about our condo - 1. On the beach. Beach is therapy 2. Near restaurants and things to do. 3. Playing music at local bars and music venues. 4. Sleeping to the sounds of the surf at night. Aahhhhhh......

Convenient, quiet and close to everything
She really did have everything we needed! The condo is on the 8th floor of a building and there was plenty of parking. You are literally on the beach so you can walk back and forth if needed. Be sure to bring your own personal toiletries (body soap, shampoo, lotion) as I forgot! But a quick trip to Walgreens took care of that. She did say to bring your own, I just forgot! She has two types of coffee makers and all the kitchen ware you need. 4 mugs were even placed in the freezer for us before our arrival! The bathrooms connect to each other so take the one attached to the master if you want to have privacy (the lock is on that side). We had a car but we easily walked to the main strip with lots of restaurants. It was an hour from Kennedy space center and an hour to Orlando. Really nice place to unwind and chill. The view was so nice. The lobby area aslo has a (very) small game room and seating area to hang out in. The pool area was nice but bit too cold and windy outside (even tho nicely heated) to really enjoy it. Karen was quick to respond, all her instructions were reasonable and easy to understand. Great for a small family! She does have a lot of nice decor so just keep it out of reach if you have really little ones (my son is 7 so not an issue for us). Also, three TVs and great wifi!
Thank you so much for your lovely review. It should be helpful for future potential guests. Glad you enjoy your stay. Please come back again! Best Regards, Karen Coleman
Great location and very nice place. We would definitely stay here again.
Thank you Tambra for taking the time to write a review. Please come stay in our home again! Karen
This was a very clean and well furnished condo on the 8th floor with a terrific view of the beach and ocean.
Thank you Ronald. Please come back and stay again! Karen
Excellent condo and location!
This condo is exactly as listed. Very clean and well kept. Love the decor. Location is excellent. We have been coming to New Smyrna for years. Have stayed at all the hotels and have been disappointed. This was our first condo experience here. We were very happy. Highly recommend!
Hi Ginny. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so glad you enjoyed staying in our condo. It is our home away from home. Stay with us again during your next trip to NSB! Best, Karen
Loved this condo; it was comfortable, cute, cozy & clean! And so Functional; we had everything we needed & more. The view was just awesome! Our owners were great too; we didn’t have any serious problems, but they were always quickly available. NSB is great place to visit; we would love to go back! So much in this area to do.
Hello Gwen. Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review of your stay. We love our vacation home and enjoy sharing it with others. NSB is such a sweet vacation spot. Please come back and stay with us again, Karen
Great Fourth of July visit.
The condo was neat and clean and well stocked. We got to see amazing fireworks from our balcony and the area was amazingly quiet. The only drawbacks were no place to put our food. All the cupboards were full and the elevator was difficult to get as people would hold the elevator. It was even being done right in front of the check in desk and onsite manager. Other than that we had a great time.
Hello Kenneth. Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am so glad you enjoyed the 4th of July at NSB. I was at Virginia Beach this year over the 4th of July and it was way too crowded. I missed NSB.
I appreciate your comment about the cupboards being full - of dishes. Some folks don't cook at all, and some cook a lot. I will be sure to empty the cabinets to make more room for guests' food.
I am sorry about the bad behavior with the elevator. It won't be so bad once both elevators are finished being replaced.
Hope you will come stay with us again!
Quaint and quiet little seaside town of New Smyrna , set on wide white beaches, has a lot to offer, from artsy galleries and tourist shops, to numerous restaurants and eateries with beachside dining and live music. Local festivals abound year round with fun activities you can participate in or watch from your 8th floor balcony! The famous Flagler Ave hub of this little beach town is two blocks from your door, all the activities are mere steps away.
13 miles of wide sugary white beaches are renowned for surfing, and Orlando residents consistently vote New Smyrna Beach the "Best Beach" in Florida. Plenty of opportunities for biking, golfing, tennis, fishing, boating, kayaking, water sports, and river cruising. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy nearby India River Lagoon, Canaveral National Seashore and Lake Ashby Park, and a number of nature preserves. Ponce de Leon Lighthouse is visible from your balcony at the Ponce Inlet as well as 4th of July fireworks all the way up to Daytona Beach.
New Smyrna Beach is located just 20 miles south of Daytona Beach with the famous Daytona 500 in February and Coca Cola 400 on 4th of July. Walt Disney World/Sea World/Universal Studios and Orlando are about an hour away. Kennedy Space Center just 40 miles south. Historic and scenic St. Augustine is just 55 miles to the north.
Our Top 3 Favorite recommended places to eat and enjoy yourself: Toni and Joe's beachside restaurant a mere few steps from you, JB's Hunt and Fish Club almost at the end of the beach, and Aunt Catfish's on the River in Port Orange (south end of Daytona Beach).
The mainland town's Canal Street Historic District is a delightful hub of art galleries and art festivals, music festivals such as the annual Jazz Festival in September, and casual eateries, eclectic shops, and the Riverside Walking Trail.
We recommend you check out NSB website www.nsbfla.com for local attractions and current calendar of upcoming special events.
