About Matt Hanna
My family and I have lived on our property for the last 14 years. We started out as the caretakers and just recently becoming the homeowners. My wife and I run a full time dog boarding, grooming, and doggie daycare facility on our property. We have 2 active boys and a few furry friends as well.
Why Matt Hanna chose Oxford
Our property has a "wow factor"... You pull in and the scenery is just beautiful. The cabin has a "zen" type appeal and you can't help but to relax when you arrive.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our property is very unique. Where else can you experience the beauty of a log cabin home on a secluded piece of property and still be close to major cities, shopping areas, etc.?

Spacious yet cozy accommodations for Girls’ weekend getaway.
We are a group of 5 women who have been friends for over 50 years and travel from 4 states for reunions. What a delightful surprise to open the door of the cabin to a fire in the fireplace and music playing. Shortly after we all arrived Matt, the most fabulous host ever stopped by stoked the fire and assured we were happy with accommodations. The cabin was immaculate. Each of us had our own bedroom and yet with all that space the cabin was incredibly cozy. There was loads of seating in the living room and kitchen for long girl chats. The beds were comfy, the sheets warm flannel, the towels plush. We walked off all the food and wine on the trails maintained by the adjacent conservatory land. Loved, loved, loved this cabin and highly recommend.
Perfect, private location for family gathering
The location is a perfect central location for family coming from VA, PA, NY, NJ and CT. The weather didn't cooperate to allow very much time outside, but we were not cramped inside and had a blast with all the games. Great outdoor space for both day and night use. Very private which allowed us to laugh until the wee hours of the morning without worrying about bothering anyone else. The property is also a dog's dream!
A great place where we created some great family memories!
Perfect spot for family vacation
We were 7 adults and 2 grandchildren (4&1). Everyone had a wonderful time. The house is clean, comfortable and spacious. I loved fishing with my granddaughter and canoeing on the lake. We played games, jigsaw puzzles, and grilled pizza on the BBQ. The Hanna's were excellent hosts and accommodating to our every need. Don't forget to bring worms and a fishing rod. Thanks Matt for your warm hospitality.
I stayed with a group of 12 gals celebrating a Bachelorette Weekend. We spent the whole day Friday outside playing cornhole and kayaking on the lake. Saturday brought on the rain, but that did not damper our fun one bit! The Cecil County Food and Wine Festival was only a couple minutes away. The cabin was roomy enough for everyone and porch kept us dry while we watched the evening storms roll through. Thank you for making this a memorable weekend. We will definitely book again for future events!
We had a great stay, weather was not great but the place was perfect! Stayed with a second couple the layout was perfect we each had a wing of the house and our girls stayed together in the loft. We did get to enjoyed the bonfire one evening!
Thank you for all the little details we felt very welcome - We will be back
Great family vacation spot!
Our family of 10 plus 2 grandchildren had a great time. The property with the pond, fire pit, and yard allowed us to spend time outdoors. There was lots to do around Oxford too including a zoo and the Herr's Factory Tour. Thanks Matt for allowing us to stay.
