About the property

Cozy "Tiny House" Cabin Close To Mena, Ar, But Close To National Forest

You've seen the tiny houses on TV: you can stay in one yourself! This cute little log-sided cabin is just 2 miles from Mena on paved road, yet you can ride into the National Forest on ATVs from your cabin. Although it is a tiny house, there is a fullsize futon, 2 fullsize loft-beds, and a very comfortable posturpedic queen bed on the ground floor. Little living area has WIFI, DVD/VCR. Compact kitchen is fully furnished, and has fullsize stove, fullsize fridge/freezer, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker, dishes. Charcoal BBQ and picnic table. The lot is large and shady, with privacy fence on sides and stream with wooded hillside in front and behind. Two kids under 12 stay free. Extra people only $10. Lots of outdoor activities within easy driving distance--waterfalls, swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, ATV trails, etc. Mena has an art district, nice restaurants, antique shopping, live theater in season.

About Carolyn MacMahon

Why Carolyn MacMahon chose Arkansas

This darling "Tiny House" is just like you see on TV. Very unique log-sided cabin, compact, but with everything you need. Close enough to town to pop in for shopping or eating out, but in its own private spot with wooded hills front and back, and a live stream.

What makes this cabin unique

Close enough to Mena for easy eating out or shopping, yet you can ride or walk into the National Forest right from the cabin. There is a live stream, big shade trees, grassy area room to kick a ball, enjoy the view of wooded hillside. Privacy, yet close enough to walk to other cabins if you come with others who rent Woodhaven or Willowbrook.

Close to National Forest--you can ride ATVs from the cabin. Also, if your friends book another cabin, they are privately situated, but close enough to visit back and forth.

What a gem!

  • 4 of 5

It's small but perfect for two. Just far enough out of town that you are in the quite of the country, but close enough to be anywhere in town in a few minutes.

The stream out back is very calming when sitting on the back porch in the evenings. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there is no television reception, but it is clear about that in the ad. We will definitely stay here again when traveling without our pets as they don't allow them.

Try this one for a quiet peaceful stay.

Owner's Response: We are always delighted when our guests tell us they had a good experience at our little Sunnybrook Cabin. The fall colors on the wooded hillside beyond the stream will soon double the enjoyment too, so come again soon! (About TV--many of our guests say they were lost without TV at first, but they talked, sat together on the bench by the stream, took walks, and enjoyed each other's company in ways they had forgotten. It is part of our country stay memories. And there always is WIFI if you have to interrupt your peace to check on the world once in awhile. )
