Ann and Chuck Benson purchased this Guest House in 2007
Why Ann and Chuck Benson chose Cascade
We purchased this property in 2007 after Ann had a dream of an adobe guesthouse that welcomed travelers and people in need of healing and restoration. The Sanctuary of the Rose officially opened its doors a year later.
What makes this Guest House unique
Guests staying at The Sanctuary of the Rose will have the perfect Colorado experience of being 'in' the mountain foothills with beautiful mountain views, and yet will be close to all Colorado Springs attractions, restaurants and hiking trails. The Sanctuary is the only guesthouse on the property it shares with the main house, and so it is quiet and private.

We had a wonderful stay at The Sanctuary of the Rose! This cottage is exceptional, full of charm and comfort. Quiet location but close to area attractions. Property hosts, Ann and Chuck, are lovely people!
Charming place/good location
Sanctuary of the Rose is a lovely little house with lots of personal, interesting touches. It’s easy to access both the high mountains as well as Manitou and Colorado Springs. Ann and her husband were delightful to deal with if needed but not intrusive. I would highly recommend a stay here!
This place was so clean and cozy and the hostess was awesome. Perfect place to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.
We enjoyed staying here- great location. Beautiful home! Ann was very helpful, answering all our questions about area sights. Hope to return again someday!
Perfect spot for sightseeing
This little adobe was absolutely perfect, Ann has the perfect location for sightseeing. Away from the city and quiet.i sat on the porch and watched the hummingbird. We were so close to Pike’s Peak, the cliff dwellings, old Colorado, manitou Springs, and the Garden of the Gods. The adobe was super clean ,with lots of information on things around the area.. You could have just stayed here for relaxation as well and would not get bored. Ann has truly thought of everything you need.
Relaxing retreat, just perfect
Loved this vrbo. Had everything you need and more. Ann and Matt are wonderful host. We will be back.
The deer were so close and fun to watch. The location is perfect for your Colorado activities. The bed was perfect and everything was very clean. Matt has beautiful flowers. If u don't stay here, you are missing out.
It was great to host you as well! Chuck (Matt in your review...no problem...names sound alike!) and I appreciate your kind words and recommendations of the Sanctuary! We look forward to welcoming you back again anytime!!!
We are directly across the street from the start of the Pikes Peak Highway to the top of Pikes Peak. We are within easy driving distance of Manitou Springs, Old Colorado City, Garden of the Gods, and Cave of the Winds (all between a 5-15 minutes drive) and many hiking trails!
