About Tim Taylor
We live in London. We had holidays in the South Hams for a few years and then decided to buy a house in the area. We use the cottage regularly out of the main holiday season. This is a photo of Rachel and Tim with our dog Woody at Mothecombe beach
Tim Taylor purchased this Barn in 2007
Why Tim Taylor chose Loddiswell
Stable corner is ideally situated to access all of the Southhams giving you flexibility what ever the weather. Our comfortable cottage in a quiet location with expansive views will ensure you have a restful holiday. We are a maximum of 20-25 minutes from Totnes, Dartmouth, Salcombe, Buckfast, Dartmoor and any of the South Hams beaches. In 45 minutes you can be in Exeter or Plymouth. This flexibility isn't available if you are in the towns and villages towards the end of the South Hams, so gives you alternatives whatever the weather.
What makes this Barn unique
Stable corner is all on one floor. Apart from 2 steps up to the level with the bedrooms and bathrooms there are no stairs. This make it ideal if one or more of your party has difficult with stairs. We have recently undertook a full refurbishment replacing the kitchen and bathrooms and redecorating. We pride ourselves on having one of the best equipped kitchens. Having stayed in cottages without a sharp knife or pan big enough to cook a meal for everyone, we have two Meile ovens plenty of pans, a knife sharpener and a salad spinner

Family Holiday for Seven
Excellent Property for this area of Devon, beautiful surroundings and views, very quiet. The house is very well appointed and suited us all, five adults and two children. Kitchen and bathrooms were excellent as were all the bedrooms and the lounge diner. Lots of games for the children to play and a television with Netflix. We were delighted with the cake and beverages on arrival after a long and tiring journey, we found the house with the help of a man from the Chilli Farm, which is not far from the house. There were also lots of other lovely touches such as liquid soap in the kitchen and bathrooms, plenty of cleaning materials and lots of space for clothes. We have no hesitation in recommending this property if you are thinking of holidaying in South Devon. The owners are also happy to be contacted should you have the need to do so.
Comfortable and homely
We had a wonderful time. The cottage was so well equipped and very comfortable. Loved the delicious Victoria sponge cake and drinks - thank you very much! Very peaceful location, lovely walks and we really enjoyed the local beaches and the farm shop and cafe. Perfect home and location for family holiday. We’d definitely return.
Wonderful holiday cottage in a great location.
This is a great property, which is ideal for families.
Glad you enjoyed your stay
Family holiday 25May - 01June
We had a great stay here, very clean, spacious and the kids also really enjoyed themselves, and plenty to do for everyone in the surrounding areas, and absolutely stunning scenery.
Glad you enjoyed your stay
Lovely Cottage in beautiful setting
Stable Cottage had everything we needed for a 3 night getaway near the coast. Very comfortable with a kitchen better equipped than mine at home! Welcome hamper a nice touch too. Enjoyed the games in the cupboard - although DVDs could do with a little updating. Lovely day out to Salcombe - do use the park and walk it's impossible to park in the town. Would love to come back one Summer.
RELAXING HOLIDAY SPOT
We spent the last week of the school summer holidays here and were very lucky with the weather. The children loved the tennis court and outdoor pool and the garden was great to relax in, a real suntrap to enjoy a sundowner. Our dog Bonnie was able to wander in and out freely as the garden is completely dog proof! The barn was great, everything we needed was provided, even wetsuits and crabbing buckets!
All in all a great break and in a lovely spot, very relaxing and peaceful but not far away from all the beaches.
Thanks for your review. I am really glad you enjoyed staying there as much as we do and our attempts at making stable corner a home from home are paying off.
