About Teysha Phillips
27 years ago Lark Phillips wanted to live in Mexico because she had traveled there multiple times before having her daughter, Teysha in California (due to her husbands' job). She wanted more so they picked up and left to Mexico to look at properties. With no luck the first few days they were about to leave when at the last moment their realtor found something "perfect." That something was 3 lots on the caribbean beach with a cenote in the back. They bought it, built a restaurant and ran it while raising their daughter. After 7 years of being there, Lark brought her daughter to the United States for better education, and Gary stayed with the restaurant & turned it into beach bungalows.
Teysha Phillips purchased this Bungalow in 1989
Why Teysha Phillips chose Playa del Carmen
The only property in Mexico that is both on the ocean, and on a cenote. The underground cave in the cenote leads to the ocean under the property there the restaurant is and bubbles up in the ocean; pumping 400,000 liters of water per minute. This unique phenomena was featured in IMAX "Journey into the Amazing Caves." The peacefulness of the area is what attracted Lark and Gary to the area, & that they were the only ones there for miles around.
